The international break is done and we are onto another massive week of mens domestic Australian football!
Round 22 of the 2023/24 A-League season is here and as always, we’ve got you covered for tips in every matchup this week.
I’ve run my eyes over the markets and checked the trends.
Here is my preview of Round 22 of the 2023/24 A-League Season.
Adelaide United are the short priced favourites against a United side that are limping towards the end of the season.
A win to United here could see them finally claw themselves off the bottom of the ladder but the bookies don’t give them much hope in this Good Friday clash.
United are unbeaten in their last four games but they gave lost each of its last five away games following a draw.
I don’t think they have much of a chance here.
Things are not going well in Newy at the moment and it could get a lot worse in this Easter Saturday clash. The Jets are a massive $5.50 to beat Melbourne City.
City have been well below par this season but two wins before the international break sees them poised for a final push towards the post season.
The Melbourne boys are very short at just $1.53, it’s hard to bet against them in this one isn’t it?
The betting trends are all City’s way too Melbourne City has won each of its last four night games against Newcastle at AAMI Park.
City H2H for me.
The Sky Blues will host the CCM in the second of a Saturday double header and I think the bookies have this one wrong.
Sydney FC are $2.15 favourites but for me, the second placed Mariners at $3.05 look to be the value to me.
For some reason, the bookies this year don’t give the top of the table teams much credit this year and we have been making decent returns on both the Mariners and Phoenix.
Not overthinking this one, CCM to win.
Phoenix pump Brisbane here.
I ain’t spending any time on it.
The 4th placed Victory look pretty set to get the chocolates this Easter Sunday, they’re $1.42 favourites over a Perth side who are a whopping $7.00 to pick up an upset here.
I don’t really know how to go into detail here, I think it’s just all about the Vics by how much?
Let’s get a bit frisky and take Melbourne -1, we need to find some value somewhere.
This should be a belter and no that’s not an April Fools joke.
The Wanderers are sitting in 6th place but are only four points behind the third placed Macarthur. A win to WSW could see them well on the way to the tippy top of the ladder.
It’s relatively even money for this one, Macarthur are ever so slight underdogs at $2.60 compared to WSW’s $2.45.
Western Sydney has lost six of its last seven games as an away favourite following a win and I think a play on Macarthur isn’t the worst shout in the world.
