No. 1 Candlelit
Candlelit drops back sharply in grade for his first run back since the spring.
The son of Press Statement was super honest last time in work, winning his maiden by a clear two-length margin at Kembla Grange, before tackling a BM64 a couple of weeks later where he finished down the order.
He gets in well with the claim on return and has also drawn a handy inside gate that should see him prominent on the speed nice and early.
On the back of his recent trial effort, this looks a suitable leadoff race for him back to country level.
Goulburn: Race 3 (1:15pm AEDT)

No. 2 Opal Fields
Opal Fields can go on with the job for trainer John Thomspon now that she’s shed the maiden tag.
The Deep Field three-year-old was all class at Newcastle two weeks ago, tracking into the race four-wide at the turn where she let down with a powerful turn of foot to draw two lengths clear.
Keagan Latham has been in the saddle for both starts to date and clearly has a good feel for the filly.
From a softer gate with good early speed expected, the pair should prove one of the toughest to hold out.
Goulburn: Race 6 (3:00pm AEDT)

No. 11 Chaotic Beauty
Tricky race to assess with a few of these going around on a quick backup.
Chaotic Beauty is always a threat here on her home track with a pair of wins and a handful of placings to her name.
One of those victories came over the mile, and she wasn’t far off another a couple of weeks ago when giving good chase from midfield to grab second behind stablemate Associate.
The claim has been put to good use again, and if there is rain about, I don’t think she’ll mind. Providing she jumps on time, she should be in the mix at a good price.
Goulburn: Race 8 (4:20pm AEDT)

No. 6 Eight Of A Kind
Eight Of A Kind ticks a few important boxes on return.
Danielle Seib’s mare is unbeaten here on her home track, making every post a winner here two runs back where she let down under hands and heels to win by nearly two lengths.
The mare by Nostradamus wrapped up her prep at Rosehill where she was unlucky not to find the money, making this drop back to country level more than ideal.
From a perfect draw with Jean Van Overmeire back in the saddle, she should be strong to the line late.
