The Meadows: Race 5 (7:03pm AEDT)
No. 3 Ethanol Water

Ethanol Water has drawn Box 3 for the first time in her 18-start career.

The daughter of Droopys Sydney has been in sizzling form of late, winning two back over slightly further at Sandown before finishing half a length off Cain Bale for second over 600m last week.

This is a sharp drop back in trip, but she be one of the toughest to run down up on the speed.

The Meadows: Race 6 (7:22pm AEDT)
No. 6 Make No Promise

Make No Promise is armed with late speed coming off a narrow win in the Listed Memorial at Sandown a couple of weeks ago.

The three-year-old by Fernando Bale hasn’t put a foot wrong over the last few months, winning two of his last five starts and finding the money on the other three occasions.

A sizzling track/trip time of 29.67 seconds stands out on the resume and he should be exploding into the frame late.

The Meadows: Race 8 (8:05pm AEDT)
No. 2 Valpolicella

Valpolicella is a versatile stayer that could either lead or go forward from the handy inside box.

The speedy two-year-old has held her own in races like this and does warrant big respect coming off a four-length win in the Gold Cup at Albion Park a couple of weeks back.

Providing she steps well, she looks  the one to beat.

The Meadows: Race 10 (8:51pm AEDT)
No. 1 Mepunga Shine

Mepunga Shine was a Group 1 winner here back in December where he put three lengths between himself and his rivals.

He was back in the winner’s circle a couple of weeks ago at Sandown, his second win from three starts from Box 1.

There looks to be some good early speed on offer, but if he’s afforded plenty of running room, he should be one of the best hitting the line late.
