UFC Fight Night: Dolidze vs Nassourdine Tips & Preview

UFC Fight Night has given us a chance to at some well-rounded prospects who don’t get an opportunity to fight on Pay-per-view, and this Sunday is no different.

Roman Dolidze is putting his number 8 ranking on the line against Nassourdine Imavov, with the winner edging closer to the newly crowned Middleweight champ, Dricus Du Plessis.

But before we get there, number 13-ranked Lightweight Renato Moicano will be taking on 15th ranked, Drew Dober and for someone who’s a fan of Dober, I cannot wait to see what he’s got in store this weekend.

Randy Brown has bounced back after a three-fight win streak was snapped by Jack Della Maddalena by defeating Wellington Turman in June 2023.

My full UFC Fight Night preview can be found below.

Roman Dolidze vs Nassourdine Imavov
Imavov via decision

A ranked Middleweight bout is set to headline the card at the UFC Apex, and this won’t make the final horn.

both fighters have seven first-round finishes each, including a combined 12 knockouts and seven submissions.

how do I see this playing out?

Imavov form has fluctuated throughout his career and the Frenchman is ready to main event the Apex this weekend.

The 28-year-old has shown his opponents that he’s a true all-round fighter who has the potential to claim the middleweight title down the road.

Not to mention the experience against the former champion Sean Strickland,

He didn’t show a bad performance against him, he was outclassed in every aspect.

With that being said, a value play for Nassourdine Imavov via decision is something I like and this will not only elevate him to the number eight ranking, but it will edge him closer to championship glory.

Renato Moicano vs Drew Dober
Drew Dober to win KO/TKO

Renato Moicano has been kicking ass and taking names since joining the UFC in 2010.

The 34-year-old has been a submission machine – obtaining 10 submission victories across his MMA career.

However, Moicano isn’t coming up against just anyone, he’s taking on the well-respected and all-round talent, Drew Dober.

Dober has been knocking people out for fun, including winning his last four fight by knockout.

Dober has been proving the doubters wrong, time and time again, and this Sunday is no different.

At the time of writing, he’s currently the underdog in the bout and I’ll be taking the value for Dober to win this bout via Knockout.

Randy Brown vs Muslim Salikhov
Randy Brown via Decision

Randy Brown will make his return to the octagon this weekend after a convincing victory against Wellington Turman back in June last year.

Brown is looking to continue his momentum after his streak was derailed by Aussie superstar Jack Della Maddalena in February.

Randy has had a history of finishing fights, including six wins by knockout and five by submission.

In the last four victories, Brown went the distance in all of them and with that in mind, I’ll be taking the value of Randy Brown to win by decision.
