UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs Walker 2 Tips & Preview

UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs Walker 2 Tips & Preview

Our first stop for UFC in 2024 is none other than Las Vegas, Nevada, where Magomed Ankalaev will take on Johnny Walker in the featured bout.

Kape will also be on the card this weekend and he was last seen at UFC 293 against 21-year-old debutant Felipe Dos Santos who gave him a run for his money in Sydney.

The number six ranked flyweight has a lot to prove after his average performance in September and I can’t wait for him to show his skills in the hope of getting closer to a world title shot.

Veteran Jim Miller is back in the octagon, and I’m looking forward to seeing the future hall of famer in action this weekend.

Will Kape get his revenge?

Can Walker prove the doubters wrong?

My thoughts on UFC Fight Night Ankalaev vs Walker can be found below.

Magomed Ankalaev vs Johnny Walker 2
Walker to Win

In case you missed their last matchup at UFC 294 three months ago, an incidental illegal strike resulted in a no-contest and they will go again at Fight Night.

Both fighters are on a solid unbeaten streak, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one will go.

Johnny Walker (great name) is 21-7 with 16 knockouts to his name and with him being an underdog in this bout, I’ll take the value of Walker.

The Brazillian veteran has also finished his opponents in two of his last three bouts.

Ankalaev will not go down without a fight, expect a Fight of The Night contender.

Matheus Nicolau vs Manel Kape
Nicolau to Win

Matheus Nicolau is back in the octagon this weekend against the man on a mission to UFC stardom by the name of Manel Kape.

Kape has his eyes set on the number-five ranking after a successful win against debutant, Felipe dos Santos.

However Kape was disappointing in that bout, so I’ll be taking the Brazilian Nicolau to have his hand raised this weekend.

The 31 year old has won 19 bouts in 24 outings along with 10 finishes and not to mention, four first-round finishes.

Not only are his stats phenomenal, but Nicolau has already beaten Kape in his career in March of 2021 in a split decision.

Kape to his credit has improved drastically since that meeting however based on his last fight, but I cant see him taking this one out.

Jim Miller vs Gabriel Benitez
Miller to win

The Veteran Jim Miller is going from strength to strength and he’s ready to get another win in his column.

The 40-year-old currently holds the record for most UFC bouts, total wins and most victories in the lightweight division.

Miller is the only active fighter in the organisation who fought on UFC 100 and 200, and with Dana White saying his participation in the historic UFC 300 is a “done deal”, he’ll want to make sure he comes out a-ok.

Gabriel Benitez has not been in the best form over the last couple of years and with that in mind, Jim Miller should come out of this relatively unscathed.
