No. 3 Inez

J: Blake Shinn (57kg) T: Lee & Shannon Hope

Inez has just had the one start, which was here over 1200m, and she performed very well. Prepared by Lee and Shannon Hope, the beautifully bred filly was always wide in the run and looked the winner 100m out but was just collared late. She showed good ability in jump outs prior to her debut and she will have taken good improvement from the outing.

She’s set receive every chance from the low draw under Blake Shinn, who will partner the daughter of Fastnet Rock for his family.

Seymour: Race 6 (4:40 AEDT)

No. 6 Tewkesbury

J: Luke Currie (59kg) T: T & C Mcevoy

Tewkesbury has been racing well and looks beautifully placed up to 2200m at his fourth run back. Only lightly raced the Sir Prancelot gelding is always thereabouts and looks to be a promising stayer in the making. He held his ground to the line last time out at Caulfield over 2000m and the form from that race has been franked with the winner saluting at Flemington on Monday.

Back to country level and up in trip looks ideal for the McEvoy trained four year old.

Eagle Farm: Race 4 (3:38 AEST

No. 3 Demon Darb

J: Cejay Graham (60.5kg) T: Robert Heathcote

Demon Darb has performed well in all three starts since joining the Heathcote stable. The former Victorian only took two starts to post his first Queensland win and he did in comfortably, putting up a length margin over the mile at the Sunshine Coast. He was very good again last start when jumping to a Saturday metro Class 3 but just found one better on the day.

The rise to 1800m looks ideal and I think he’ll be well suited back on a bigger track. The stable have elected to go with the claim, engaging Cejay Graham to do the steering and take 1.5kgs off.

Eagle Farm: Race 6 (4:48 AEST)

Race Starts in: Race Finished

No. 13 Superokay

J: James Orman (55.5kg) T: Chris Waller

Superokay looked the ultimate professional when saluting on debut three weeks ago. Whilst it may have only been a Murwillumbah maiden, the son of Harry Angel did it in style, jumping away well, taking up the running and then producing a good kick in the straight to put them away comfortably.

The three year old looks to have plenty of upside and in a positive sign Jimmy Orman will get down to 55.5kgs to take the mount for Chris Waller.
