Doomben: Race 3 (2:03pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 5 A Big Chance
A Big Chance is a proven wet-tracker that probably deserved to finish closer over a similar journey here last week.
Jan Aitkenhead’s old boy has made a number of starts here at Doomben for just the one place, but he probably would have made it another if he wasn’t slow away under Ryan Maloney.
The son of Shinzig was always too far back to score, but with a win to his name in similar conditions on the Sunshine Coast to start the month, his best is certainly good enough to threaten on the quick turnaround.
Doomben: Race 4 (2:40pm AEDT)

No. 1 Plundering
Plundering has likeable recent form having placed behind Felix Majestic and Louisville two back at Randwick.
By Shooting To Win, Annabel Neasham’s four-year-old has been super honest all prep, finishing outside the money only once when fresh at Rosehill.
This is his first look at Doomben, but based on his record over this trip, he should prove tough to run down if he can get across early and find the speed from the wide gate.
Doomben: Race 6 (4:00pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 4 Seneschal
Seneschal was enormous in his Queensland debut a couple of weeks ago, taken back to midfield under James Orman before storming down the outside to nearly reel in Bad Education.
The son of Kingman just missed out in his final few strides, but there was plenty to like about the run considering it was also his first start for new trainer Stuart Kendrick.
Out over further looks a big tick in the right box, especially with a handy two-length win at this stage of his prep at Hawkesbury to break maiden last time in work.
Doomben: Race 7 (4:40pm AEDT)
Race Starts in: Race Finished
No. 11 African Daisy
African Daisy should find conditions to suit in her first look at Doomben.
Annabel Neasham’s mare bumped into a smart type at Randwick first-up when beaten just over a length, seen making up plenty of late ground where she was second to Terra Mater over a slightly shorter trip.
She’s drawn a similar assignment here from an identical gate and also gets James Orman on board with a good gap between runs.
Providing she can get back early, she should be very hard to hold out.
