Muswellbrook: Race 1 (12:35pm)
No. 6 Snitzaroo
Snitzaroo was a strong winner two back at Gosford, flashing home late after overcoming a three-wide run in transit.
He went around at Doomben last time out where another wide run cost him, an effort he can only improve on coming back to race at country level now.
Aaron Bullock hopping back in the saddle is a plus, and from the soft gate, they should be able to save something for the finish.
Muswellbrook: Race 2 (1:10pm)
No. 3 Custo
Custo recorded a brave win at Scone first-up, charging forward to lead where he fended off a late challenge to just hold on.
He’s been far from disgraced in tougher races since, most recently making up late ground for third at Tamworth coming off a midfield finish at Randwick the start prior.
Fitter and drawn well, a return to the winner’s circle wouldn’t surprise.
Muswellbrook: Race 4 (2:20pm)
No. 6 Zippo Idea
Zippo Idea broke through for a well-overdue maiden win over shorter here a couple of weeks ago.
Rodney Northam’s filly got right back in the run, caught wide at one point but simply too strong in the finish to hold out.
She comes into this hard fit for two runs and ticks most of the boxes with Reece Jones retaining the ride.
Muswellbrook: Race 7 (4:20pm)
No. 3 Hard To Dismiss
Hard To Dismiss finds it hard to win but has to be respected on her first-up effort when runner-up over shorter.
The All Too Hard mare was taken back from an identical gate before making up some nice late ground, an encouraging effort off a lengthy spell.
She gets in well with the claim and has likable second-up form on her resume.
