UFC Fight Night: Yadong vs Gutierrez Tips & Preview

UFC Fight Night: Yadong vs Gutierrez Tips & Preview

For the final time in 2023, UFC Fight Night is heading back to the APEX and I’m looking forward to watching some top prospects go toe-to-toe.

Aussie prospects Jamie Mullarkey and Shannon Ross will proudly wave the flag for Australians in this event, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I will show support for both of them.

How does the rest of the card play out?

My thoughts on UFC Fight Night Song Vs Gutierrez can be found below.

Song Yadong vs Chris Gutierrez
Song Yadong to win via KO/TKO or points.

Song Yadong has been on a tear in the last three years.

Since May 2020, he’s won six fights (Via KO/TKO and points) and only lost once by way of KO.

At the time of writing Yadong’s odds are short, and rightfully so.

To get some sort of value In the main event, I’ll be taking Song Yadong to win by way of KO/TKO or points.

Anthony Smith vs Khalil Rountree Jr.
Roundtree Jr by way of KO/TKO

Anthony “Lionheart” Smith has taken a short notice fight to take on Khalil Rountree Jr and I cannot wait.

Smith is a clear underdog in this bout with an uneven preparation.

He hasn’t had a full-fight camp, he’s at the back end of his career and he’s taking on Rountree who’s on a four fight-win streak.

Roundtree has the numbers, the skill and the knockout power to secure this win by way of KO/TKO.

Sumudaerji vs Allan Nascimento
Nascimento via Submission or points

Sumudaerji will be putting his number 12 ranking on the line against unranked Brazilian Ju-Jitsu specialist Alan Nascimento.

Nascimento is currently on a two-fight win streak will I believe will play a huge factor.

Not to mention, the Brazilian native has more first-round finishes and more submissions than his opponent.

Having a dabble on Nascimento via submission or points provides value and if successful, he will be once step closer to a title shot.
