Apache Thunder only just missed from a forward position at his last appearance, and in peak order today, I think that he can go one better.
The Mick Price & Mick Kent Junior-trained gelding has improved with each of four runs back from a break, and after taking up the running in the BM64 contest at Ballarat last time out, he was only just nabbed late.
If he can find a position at the front again today with relative ease, I think he’ll prove too difficult to catch.
Werribee: Race 6 (4:25pm AEDT)

No. 12 Starlea
This looks a lovely campaign launchpad for the resuming Starlea.
Starlea hasn’t been seen at the races since September, but she returned some strong performances in metro company last time in, and did win at her first campaign start.
She’s drawn ideally today under Joe Bowditch and will relish the drop in class.
Werribee: Race 7 (5pm AEDT)

No. 4 Keats
Keats has returned two competitive performances since resuming and can return to winning form in the Werribee Cup.
The Galileo gelding finished second, beaten less than a length in the Sale Cup first-up from a break, and he worked home well to fill the minors in the Group 3 Eclipse Stakes last weekend.
Fitter third-up and dropping in class, this looks a perfect feature for him.
Werribee: Race 8 (5:40pm AEDT)

No. 2 He's Handsome
He has drawn into the race awkwardly, but He’s Handsome does look to be the class engaged in the last on Werribee Cup Day.
He’s Handsome hasn’t missed placing at his last five trips to the races, winning twice and finishing off well for third behind Jimmysstar on Cranbourne Cup Day most recently.
He gets some relief in the weights today and with even luck in running, he’ll take plenty of beating again.
