2023 NFL Week 15 Tips & Preview

2023 NFL Week 15 Tips & Preview

43.75% of teams this week are starting a different quarterback to the one that they used in Week 1.

It has been a horrendous year for injuries all across the board but this year in particular feels bad for the most important position in the league.

Next man up has always been the mentality in the NFL however, so a couple injuries will not stop some of these sides.

As we get closer and closer to the postseason, all of these remaining games start to get a little bit more spicy.

I’ve run my eyes over each market, simulated each game in Madden and checked the waiver wire for fantasy studs.

Here is my preview of Week 15 of the NFL.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS VS LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
See Below

Aidan O’Connell vs Easton Stick are you excited?! I’m so excited!!!!

Sarcasm aside, it is an AFC West game with some big playoff implications… for the other teams in the division.

I honestly don’t know how to do the form for this game, the Chargers aired the ball out way too much last week after the Herbert injury but how much can we really read in to that?

I think I’m with the Raiders to cover purely because they have been more of a unit for longer this year, the Chargers have only had the short week to prepare with Stick and that will be the difference maker in this dumpster fire of a game.

Raiders -3 @ $1.90

SGM $5.40

  • Jakobi Meyers Anytime Touchdown @ $4.75
  • Jakobi Meyers 45+ Receiving Yards
CINCINNATI BENGALS V MINNESOTA VIKINGS
See Below

Jake Browning vs Nick Mullens!!!!!!!!

How good is this!!!!!!!!

The Bengals are proving that they can get the ball moving downfield regardless of which JB is under centre.

The Vikings on the other hand managed just three points last week…. and they won 3-0.

From all reports it sounds like Justin Jefferson is right to play after copping a shocking hospital pass last week that lived up to its name and put him in hospital.

But it’s the Bengals for me, I like how they’ve leaned more on Joe Mixon and the ground game so far, I think they’ll run all over the Vikes.

My Bets

SGM $4.50

  • Bengals -3 @ $1.90
  • Joe Mixon 60+ Rushing Yards @ $1.90
  • Joe Mixon Anytime Touchdown @ $2.02
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS V PITTSBURGH STEELERS
See Below

Gardner Minshew vs Mitch Trubisky!

I haven’t given the Colts enough respect this year, but I also don’t care.

Their owners don’t respect their players so why should I respect their markets.

The Colts are favourites against this sad and tired Steelers outfit, but I’m with them honestly.

The Colts have lost nine of their last 11 home games and I just flat-out dislike them.

My Bets

SGM $5.04

  • Steelers H2H @ $2.05
  • Najee Harris 50+ Rushing Yards $1.80
  • Najee Harris Anytime Touchdown Scorer $2.15
DETROIT LIONS VS DENVER BRONCOS
See Below

Jared Goff vs Russell Wilson, two QBs that did start Week 1 will battle out to find out which team truly is the biggest fraud this year.

The Lions were coasting to start the year but a couple of late losses has opened the door for the Vikings to take out the North.

A lot of things need to fall into place for that to happen in these last few weeks but the Lions could easily go down to this Broncos side who are second in the AFC West and could be looking at the top spot if things go the right way this week.

The Broncos have all the momentum and look the value for me.

They’ve won six of their last seven and at $2.75 I wouldn’t mind a play on them.

Courtland Sutton has been a TD Machine this year and he’s my pick to find pay dirt.

My Bets

SGM: $7.07

  • Broncos H2H @ $2.75
  • Javonte Williams 50+ Rushing Yards
  • Courtland Sutton Anytime Touchdown Scorer
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS V KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
See Below

The Pats need to get back to their losing ways if they want a chance at their new franchise QB in next years draft.

They have a great chance to do just that this week when they take on a Chiefs team that is ready to make amends for last weeks shock loss.

The Pats are a massive $4.25 to get it done but they might as well be $10 in my eyes.

The Patriots are NO CHANCE here.

I’ve never seen Mahomes so fired up like he was at the end of last weeks game with the Bills.

Right or wrong, it doesn’t matter. He’s going to come out firing in this one and won’t let up even if the Patriots try and tap out.

We talkin aggravated assault here.

My Bets

  • Chiefs 14+ @ $2.65
  • Patrick Mahomes 300+ Passing Yards
  • Patrick Mahomes 3+ Passing Touchdowns
TENNESSEE TITANS VS HOUSTON TEXANS
See Below

FINALLY!

The Titans will play the Texans for the first time this year and for those that aren’t in the know, Derrick Henry owns the Titans.

Let me run you through his stats in the last five games against the Texans.

32 Carries for 211 Yards and 3 TDs

22 Carries for 212 Yards and 2 TDs

34 Carries for 254 Yards and 2 TDs

32 Carries for 219 Yards and 2 TDs

23 Carries for 126 Yards and 1 TD

Derrick is a lock for 100 yards and a TD here and he gets to play the Texans twice in like three weeks!

The bookies know it too and the Titans are the favourites for this reason alone.

My Bets

  • Titans -2.5 @ $1.90
  • Derrick Henry 100+ Rushing Yards
  • Derrick Henry Anytime Touchdown Scorer
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS VS NEW YORK GIANTS
See Below

The Giants are 3-0 with Tommy DeVito and I don’t think the bookies are giving them enough credit yet but DeVito’s agent might have something to say about that.

They are $3.25 underdogs against the Saints and do we really think the Saints are that much better? Fuhgeddaboudit.

The Giants are playing much improved football with Tommy DeVito and sure the Saints beat up on Bryce Young last week but that’s not really that hard this season is it.

Giants to win or cover if you’re a wuss.

My Bets

  • Giants H2H @ $3.25
  • Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown Scorer
  • Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown Scorer
CAROLINA PANTHERS V ATLANTA FALCONS
See Below

I think I need to stop talking myself into the Panthers, they are a genuine disaster this year.

I can’t waste anymore time on them and I feel so bad for Bryce Young, I hope they put some real players around him next year.

I’m with the Falcons to cover this week but knowing my luck, after taking the Panthers almost every week for an upset, this will be the game they actually do it.

My Bets

  • Falcons -3 @ $1.90
  • Bijan Robinson Anytime Touchdown Scorer
  • Drake London 60+ Receiving Yards
CLEVELAND BROWNS VS CHICAGO BEARS
See Below

A game that I would not pay any attention to if I wasn’t paid to pay attention to it.

There’s nothing about the Browns that excites me heading into the back end of the year but there’s also nothing about the Bears that excites me.

Chicago are on a two game winning streak and truth be told, could race home to book a wildcard spot.

I truly think that starts this week (even though it probably started two weeks ago) and the Bears get the job done here.

My Bets

  • Bears H2H @ $2.45
  • Justin Fields 250+ Passing Yards
  • Justin Fields Anytime Touchdown
MIAMI DOLPHINS VS NEW YORK JETS
See Below

We know the Phins love beating up on losing teams but they really need to in this game if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Miami put up a stinker last week against the Titans but I like them to bounce back here even if the Jets defence can be quite tough to play against.

Keep an eye on Tyreek Hill, he pulled up a bit sore last week but when he played the Jets last time round, he had 9 Catches for 102 Yards and a TD

The Jets have failed to cover the line in six of their last seven games and I think this will be a beatdown.

My Bets

  • Miami -8.5 @ $1.90
  • Tyreek Hill 75+ Receiving Yards
  • De’Von Achane Anytime Touchdown
GREEN BAY PACKERS VS TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
See Below

Green Bay were embarrassed at Metlife last week by the Giants and on paper this should be another easy match up.

But is it?..

There’s clearly some big issues at the Pack at the moment and I truly could see Baker and the Bucs coming in and doing a number on them.

The Buccaneers look value this week if you ask me, they’ve covered the line in six of their last seven road games and I like them to do better than just cover.

My Bets

  • Buccaneers H2H @ $2.45
  • Rachaad White 60+ Rushing Yards
  • Rachaad White Anytime Touchdown
ARIZONA CARDINALS VS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
See Below

49ers 14+

They are far too good.

Not wasting anymore time on it.

My Bets

  • 49ers 14+ @ $1.92
  • Christian McCaffrey 80+ Rushing Yards
  • Deebo Samuel 80+ Receiving Yards
LOS ANGELES RAMS V WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
See Below

Another game that people won’t be spending much time on this week, the Rams and the Commies.

The Rams are still in playoff contention despite being very hot and cold this year.

The Commanders have covered the line in five of their last six games as road underdogs and honestly, I don’t think the Rams have enough to run away with it here.

My Bets

  • Commanders +6.5 @ $1.90
  • Puka Nacua 75+ Receiving Yards
  • Cooper Kupp Anytime Touchdown
BUFFALO BILLS V DALLAS COWBOYS
See Below

Could this be a preview of the Super Bowl?

Probably not but both these teams are pretty good.

Josh Allen with battle it out with the MVP favourite this week, Dak and the Cowboys are balling out and are $2.15 outsiders which is quite surprising if you ask me.

Cowboys are the form team at the moment and I think they’re the value especially over this Bills side that despite beating the Chiefs last week, has struggled.

The Cowboys have won seven of their last eight games and you’re telling me I can get them for $2.15?

My Bets

  • Cowboys H2H @ $2.15
  • Dak Prescott 275+ Passing Yards
  • Jake Ferguson Anytime Touchdown
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS V BALTIMORE RAVENS
See Below

Trevor played like deep fried ass last week.

He hustled to be available after that lower leg injury but the Jags might’ve been better off if he sat out to be fresh for this game.

This one is game of the week for me, I love watching both these teams play, hopefully TLaw plays a lot better with an extra week removed from his injury.

The Ravens are the best AFC team for me and I think they should edge this game out, incredibly tough line to pick at 3.5. If the Jaguars play to their full ability a field goal will split these two teams.

I’m hoping for overs in the total points and the Ravens to cover, seven of the Jaguars’ last eight games in December have gone over the total match points line.

My Bets

  • Ravens -3.5 @ $1.90
  • Zay Flowers Anytime Touchdown
  • Evan Engram Anytime Touchdown
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS V PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
See Below

BIRD BOWL BIRD BOWL BIRD BOWL

The Seahawks have drawn the short straw this week and will be the team that plays Philly back into form.

The Eagles have had two rough games in two weeks but hey, if they want to win a Super Bowl they are going to have to beat either both the 9ers and the Cowboys at some point.

I think the Eagles wail on the Seahawks this week, 14+ for me.

My Bets

  • Eagles 14+ @ $3.40
  • Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown
  • Dallas Goedert 60+ Receiving Yards
FOGS' FANTASY TEAM
See Below

My god Mike Evans did us dirty last week.

One catch for eight yards was all he could muster and it saw us fall one leg short for the 6th time this season.

The show goes on, I’ve studied the matchups for my Fantasy team multi and let me tell you, there are some serious studs with great matchups this week.

Just to recap in Week 14 we had:

  • Quarterback: Dak Prescott Over 225+ Passing Yards
  • Runningback: Christian McCaffrey 60+ Rushing Yards
  • Runningback: Isiah Pacheco 60+ Rushing Yards
  • Wide Receiver: Tyreek Hill 60+ Receiving Yards
  • Wide Receiver: Mike Evans 60+ Receiving Yards X
  • Multi: $6.12

Week 14’s Fantasy team looks like this:

  • Quarterback: Lamar Jackson Over 200+ Passing Yards
  • Runningback: Christian McCaffrey 60+ Rushing Yards
  • Runningback: Alvin Kamara 60+ Rushing Yards
  • Wide Receiver: Ceedee Lamb 60+ Receiving Yards
  • Wide Receiver: Amon-Ra St Brown 60+ Receiving Yards
