Premier League Game Week 14 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 14 Tips & Preview

We are officially a third of the way through the season and only two competition points seperate Arsenal in first with Aston Villa in fourth!

Game Week 14 gets underway in the capital, as the Gunners look to consolidate their position with a win over the Wolves.

Elsewhere, Newcastle play host to Man United, Chelsea welcome Brighton to the Bridge, and City attempt to hand Ange a fourth straight defeat!

Our Offside Oracle has previewed all ten Game Week 14 fixtures, providing his best bets below!

BRENTFORD VS LUTON
Brentford to Win & Over 2.5 Goals $2.20

Luton set their sights on back-to-back victories for the first time this season when they hit the road to take on Brentford.

The Bees enter this clash following consecutive league defeats against Liverpool and Arsenal, although they held their own on both occasions.

Brentford have endured a tough run of fixtures to start the season, though they hold a decent record against sides sitting outside the top 7, losing just one of eight such games (4W,3D).

Luton surprised punters with a win against the Eagles last week, but I think they’re slim-to-none to repeat those heroics on the road to the Bees.

BURNLEY VS SHEFF UTD
Both Teams to Score (NO) $1.95

Next years Championship title contenders are set to go toe-to-toe at Turf Moore this weekend.

It’s a fixture to miss for the neutrals, but a potentially season defining 90mins for those with skin in the game.

From a form perspective, there is no case to be made for either side here, the Clarets are a woeful 0-7 at home this season, while the Blades are the worst team on the road, with one point from six games!

“Both Teams to Score” has failed to hit in three of the last four meetings between this pair.

Rather than backing any sort of positive result to transpire here, I am betting that one of these two sides to fail to trouble the score keeper.

ARSENAL VS WOLVES
Arsenal to Nil $2.05

Arsenal looks to solidify their position atop of the Premier League table with a strong performance against Wolves.

The Gunners have won their last four league fixtures against Wolverhampton, three of which victories were accompanied by a clean sheet.

No side has conceded less goals than Arsenal (10) this season, with Arteta’s outfit making a habit of grinding out low scoring victories.

I’m backing the Gunners to keep the visitors quiet here and ultimately winning another game in unspectacular fashion.

NOTTM FOREST VS EVERTON
Everton $2.65

The Toffees travel to Nottingham looking to recoup a few of their deducted competition points.

Forest enters this one of the back of a wild 3-2 defeat to a 10-man Brighton outfit, leaving them stranded on one win from their last nine PL starts (4D,4L).

Meanwhile, Everton were pumped 3-0 at home to Man U, despite creating 15 more chances and dominating for large periods of play.

The Toffees have won six of their last ten games across all comps (1D,3L) and look like a mid table outfit at worst.

Everton has won their last two away league fixtures and I’m backing them to make it three on the trot here.

NEWCASTLE VS MAN UTD
Newcastle $1.94

The Toons take on the Red Devils in what should be a hotly contested fixture.

Both sides are sitting just outside the top five, and will be desperate to remain within touching distance of Champions League football.

Man U has won five of their last six league fixtures, although their performances have been far from convincing, just scrapping home against Luton, Fulham, Sheffield and Brentford.

Meanwhile, Newcastle enter this clash off the back of a 4-1 thumping of an in-form Chelsea side, taking their home record to six wins and one loss this season.

The Toon have won their last two games against Man U, only recently knocking the Red Devils out of the EFL Cup with a convincing 3-0 victory at Old Trafford.

I’m backing Newcastle to continue their strong form at home.

WEST HAM VS CRYSTAL PALACE
West Ham $2.00

West Ham are eyeing off four straight wins across all competitions when they welcome Crystal Palace to London Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have lost four of their last five league fixtures (1W), with only Burnley picking up less competition points across that spell (0).

To make matters worse, Crystal Palace are set to be without their best attacking option with Eberechi Eze limping off in their loss to Luton last weekend.

The Hammers at home seems to be an easy pick here, clear overs at the current $2 quote.

LIVERPOOL VS FULHAM
Liverpool and Over 3.5 Goals $2.38

The Reds look to keep the pressure on both City and Arsenal when they play host to a Fulham side chasing their first back-to back wins of the season.

As expected, the Reds hold an impeccable record at Anfield this season, claiming all 18 competition points on offer, while outscoring their opponents 17-2 across the trip!

In stark contrast, the Cottagers have failed to win on the road since their opening round victory at Goodison Park, a Merseyside performance I can’t see them replicating here.

I backing a statement victory for the Reds here, with the goals flowing freely.

BOURNEMOUTH VS ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa $1.95

Aston Villa are the real deal!

The Villans have won eight of their last ten games across all comps (1D,1L), as a result they find themselves rubbing shoulders with Liverpool, City and Arsenal inside the top 4!

No team has won more games than Villa this season, while only Man City can boast more goals for.

Meanwhile, the Cherries have won three of their last four league fixtures (1L), seeing them move seven points clear of the drop zone, for the time being.

Despite Bournemouth’s recent run of form, they still look extremely vulnerable in defence, leaking six goals against the Citizen in GW11, with only Burnley and Sheffield conceding on more occasions this season.

Villa are outstanding value in the H2H market, the bookies clearly not giving them their due flowers.

CHELSEA VS BRIGHTON
Both Teams to Score and Over 3.5 Goals $2.63

Speaking of goals, we’re likely to see a few in the contest between Brighton and Chelsea.

One team has scored at least four goals in the last three games Chelsea has been involved in, and amazingly, both in the 4-4 thriller against City.

Meanwhile, the “Both Teams to Score” market has hit in all 13 of Brighton’s fixtures this season, with nine of those games seeing over 3.5 goals!

Both teams have also scored in the last four league fixtures between this pair.

I’m sticking with the winning formula, backing both sides to score and over 3.5 totals goals!

MAN CITY VS TOTTENHAM
Tottenham $9.25

WARNING: Patriotic Tip.

Game Week 14 finishes on a high, as Man City hosts Ange’s Spurs!

Following a flying start to the season, Tottenham has come crashing back down to earth with three defeats on the bounce.

Meanwhile, the Sky Blues have played out consecutive stalemates against Chelsea and Liverpool, allowing Arsenal to climb above them atop of the league.

The Spurs have enjoyed recent success against City, winning three of the pair’s last four games, although Harry Kane played a big part in those victories with three goals.

Call me crazy, but I think Ange and his side are going to enter this contest without fear, this game could be consumed by chaos, a state of being where Postecoglou thrives!

You can never count Ange out, I think the odds are large enough to dabble on the upset here.
