Premier League Game Week 13 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 13 Tips & Preview

The Premier League returns following another inconvenient international break.

Fortunately, we are treated to game of the year, as Man City host Liverpool first up on Saturday night (AEST).

Elsewhere, Newcastle take on a flourishing Chelsea outfit, Tottenham brace themselves for Aston Villa, and Man U take on over-spenders Everton.

Our Offside Oracle has previewed all 10 Premier League fixtures, providing his best betting plays below!

MAN CITY VS LIVERPOOL
Over 3.5 $2.20

Game Week 13 gets underway in the North, as Manchester City hosts Liverpool in match of the season.

The Sky Blues are currently sitting one point above the Reds on top of the league table, with 9 wins from 12 fixtures (1D,2L).

Man City enters this contest off the back of a thrilling 4-4 draw against Chelsea, with their former young gun, Cole Palmer scoring an injury time pen to level the scores.

Alternatively, the Reds routed an inform Brentford outfit 3-0, as Mo Salah scored his 9th and 10th goals of the campaign, only Haaland has netted on more occasions (13).

7 of the last 8 meetings between this pair across all comps have seen 4+ goals scored, with both sides winning 3 games a piece (2D).

NEWCASTLE VS CHELSEA
Chelsea $2.75

A wounded Toons outfit host a Chelsea side finally coming into their own.

Newcastle have lost two games on the trot across the PL and UCL, failing to score on both occasions.

Meanwhile, the Blues have scored four goals in each of their previous two fixtures, securing results against Tottenham (W) and Man City (D).

Chelsea has won their last 3 Premier League away fixtures, outscoring their opponents 10-2 across the trip.

Only Tottenham and Man City have picked up more points on the road than Chelsea (10), and I’m backing the Blues to collect another 3 here.

LUTON VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace $2.15

Two teams struggling to find form are set to meet at Kenilworth Road, as Luton Town hosts Crystal Palace.

The Hatters are yet to win at home this season, claiming just two of a possible 15 competition points.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have performed better away from home, with 10 for their 15 points coming on the road (3W,1D,2L).

Roy Hodgson welcomes Olise back to the starting lineup for the first time this season, the attacking midfielder will add some much needed creativity to the Eagles underperforming offence.

I’m backing Luton’s woes to continue, with Palace completing another snatch and grab job on the road.

BURNLEY VS WEST HAM
West Ham $2

Burnley host West Ham in the Claret Derby.

Burnley head into this contest desperate to break spell of six straight defeats across all comps.

Alternatively, the Hammers have won three of their last four games across all competitions, most recently seeing off Notts Forest 3-2 in the league.

Despite Everton copping a 10-point deduction from he league, Burnley has been able to hold onto their position at the foot of the table.

I’m backing the Irons to claim the coveted Claret gong.

SHEFF UTD VS BOURNEMOUTH
Sheff Utd $3.20

The Blades are looking to go three games without defeat, while picking up back-to-back home wins when they welcome the Cherries to Bramall Lane.

Bournemouth are yet to record a win on the road this season, managing just one competition point from a possible 15!

Sheffield United have looked much improved over the last couple of weeks, with results against respectable outfits, Brighton and Wolverhampton.

I like the value on offer for the home side in the H2H market, especially accounting for Bournemouth’s horrible away form.

NOTTM FOREST VS BRIGHTON
Draw $3.50

Notts Forest are out to extend an unbeaten run at home to 5 league fixtures (1W,3D) when they host a Brighton outfit searching for their first PL victory since September (4D,2L).

Forest are unbeaten against Brighton across the pairs’ last 3 meetings (2W,1D), winning both fixtures at the City Ground.

No side has drawn more fixtures then both Brighton and Forest (4D), with all 4 of the Seagulls stalemates coming in their last 5 outings.

Brighton are stuck in a rut at the moment, with most PL sides figuring out De Zerbi’s press resistant style.

I’m backing both sides to leave this contest with a competition point.

BRENTFORD VS ARSENAL
Arsenal Win & Saka 1+ SoT $2.55

The Bees host the Gunners in an intriguing London Derby.

Brentford are undefeated across 5 London derbies this season, most recently defeating West Ham and Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has won 1 of the 4 local league derbies they have been involved in (3D) this season.

Before losing to the Reds in GW12, the Bees managed 3 straight league victories, propelling themselves within striking distance of the top 8.

The Gunners have won their last games away to Brentford in all comps, recently knocking their London rivals out of the EFL Cup.

I’m backing Arsenal to keep their title tilt alive with a victory here, coupled with a SoT from Bakayo Saka.

TOTTENHAM VS ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa and Over 1.5 Goals $3.25

What’s left of the Tottenham Hotspur squad are set to face an inform Villa outfit.

Ange will likely be without 6 of his starting 11 this weekend, with his side hit hard by a string of injuries and suspensions.

Meanwhile, Villa are going from strength to strength, losing just once across their last 8 Premier League fixtures (6W,1D).

The Villans have scored an impressive 29 goals across their opening 12 fixtures, with only Man City (32) boasting more.

I’m struggling to see how the Spurs avoid a 3rd league defeat on the bounce here, as such I’m taking Villa to win combined with over 1.5 goals scored.

EVERTON VS MAN UTD
Man U $2.45

The Toffees copped a massive 10 point deduction by the FA for breaching FFP laws, leaving them in 19th place on the table.

They’ll take on a Man U side who have won 4 of their last 5 league fixtures, without looking a the slightest bit convincing in doing so.

Everton has bettered United once across the pairs’ last 11 meetings in all comps, with the visitors looking to claim their 4th straight victory in this matchup.

Emotions will be high at Goodison Park, and although I believe the Toffees will make like tough for the Red Devils, I am backing ten Haag’s side to sneak over the line.

FULHAM VS WOLVES
Both Teams to Score (No) $1.91

Game Week 13 comes to a close with a mid table clash between Fulham and Wolverhampton.

This fixture has traditionally been a dull affair, with 4 of the last 5 matchups seeing under 1.5 goals scored, while the under 2.5 total goals market has hit in the pairs’ last 8 games.

The Cottagers have been held to nil in 3 of their 5 home fixtures this season, only scoring against newly promoted Sheffield and Luton.

This fixture has “first goal wins” written all over it, as such I’m backing Both Teams not to score at a healthy $1.91.
