Premier League Game Week 12 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 12 Tips & Preview

It has only taken 12 game weeks for Manchester City to climb to top of the Premier League pile, a position it’s hard to see them relinquishing any time soon.

The action gets underway in Wolverhampton, as Ange and his Spurs side attempts to return to winning ways.

Elsewhere, Man U hosts fellow strugglers Luton, Liverpool welcomes Brentford to Anfield and Manchester City travels to the Bridge to take on Chelsea.

Our Offside Oracle has previewed all ten Premier League fixtures over the weekend and provided his best bets below!

WOLVES VS TOTTENHAM
Over 3.5 Total Goals $2.45

Tottenham will be looking to shrug off their first defeat of the campaign when they travel to Wolverhampton to take on the Wolves.

The Spurs will be without three of their four first choice defenders, with both Romero and Udogie seeing red against the Blues, while van de Ven pulled up with a lame hammy.

Ange will also be sweating on the fitness of star midfielder James Maddison, who was withdrawn early after copping a knock.

Despite all the injuries, Postecoglou isn’t the type of manager who tampers with his formula, I am expecting the Spurs to continue their high press/ high risk style play, with the potential to see multiple goals at both ends of the ground.

I’m backing Over 3.5 Goals to be scored in what should be a thrilling contest.

MAN UTD VS LUTON
Man Utd and Under 3.5 Goals $2.25

After snatching a point off the Reds, Luton Town set their sights on Manchester United.

All the pressure lays squarely on the home side’s shoulders here, with fans growing tiresome of the lack of progress shown from the start of the season.

Despite poor performances, Man U has formed a habit of grinding out low-scoring wins against low standing opposition, with their last five league wins coming against sides sitting below them on the table, and accompanied with no more than three goals.

I’m backing the Red Devils to fall over the line at home, with one or two goals enough to secure all three points.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS EVERTON
Under 1.5 Goals $2.70

Crystal Palace plays host to Everton in what should be a pretty stale affair.

The Eagles have lacked punch in the final third this season, averaging 0.9 goals per game, 15th lowest scoring rate in the league, while the Toffees aren’t fairing much better in 14th (1gpg).

While Crystal Palaces offence is letting them down, their defence is picking up the slack, with no side keeping more clean sheets than Roy’s boys (5).

This game has “first goal wins” written all over it, as such I’m jumping on the Under 1.5 Total Goals market.

ARSENAL VS BURNLEY
Handicap: Arsenal (-2) $2.40

The Gunners will be out to wash a sour taste from their mouth, following a controversial 1-0 defeat away to Newcastle last time out.

Mikel Arteta had plenty of words for the officials after the match, not one of which was pleasant and he’ll be hoping his team can respond in a big way here against a Burnley side shipping goals left, right and centre!

The Clarets are currently sitting 19th on the table, and are ranked 20th in the league for goals scored.

Burnley has lost by 3+ goals on five occasions this season, an unwanted recorded which I’m backing to extend to six games against the Gunners.

BOURNEMOUTH VS NEWCASTLE
Newcastle to Win & Both Teams to Score $3.10

The Cherries are longing to restore a shred of dignity following their 6-1 slaughtering at the hands of City last time out.

They’ll be taking on a Newcastle side who are relying on the depth of their squad, with several key players missing through injury.

As bad as Bournemouth have been of late, they have still managed to score goals, finding the back of the net in their last four games across all comps, losing three said fixtures.

I’m backing the Toon to scrape over the line here, but not without conceding.

LIVERPOOL VS BRENTFORD
Liverpool to Win to Nil $2.63

The Reds host the Bees in what will be up there as match of the round.

Liverpool will be looking to avoid a repeat of the disastrous performance in front of goal they experienced last week, with Darwin Nunes undoing all his goodwill by missing four big chances on the way to an embarrassing 1-1 draw at Luton.

Klopp’s side will face the daunting task of bettering the inform Bees, who are eyeing off four straight league wins.

Brentford are scoreless in their only two previous fixtures at Anfield, with the Reds claiming the W on both occasions.

I’m backing a Liverpool to respond appropriately here, locking out the Bees and claiming all three points.

BRIGHTON VS SHEFF UTD
Brighton and Over 3.5 Goals $2.35

After getting off to a flying start to the season, Brighton has now failed to secure a win across their last five Premier League fixtures (3D,2L).

Meanwhile, Sheffield United claimed their first W of the season last time out, edging past Wolverhampton 2-1.

The Blades’ lack of success this season can be boiled down to their disastrous defensive efforts, allowing a league-high 30 goals across 11 matches, while failing to keep a single clean sheet.

I’m backing the Seagulls to rediscover their form, while putting the Blades to the sword.

ASTON VILLA VS FULHAM
Aston Villa (-1) $2.55

Aston Villa will be looking to build on their perfect 5-0 record at home when hey play host to a Fulham side searching for their first win in four weeks (1D,2L).

Villa has scored a ridiculous 20 goals across their five home fixtures this season, while conceding just four times.

I’m backing the home side to dominate this contest, seeing the Cottagers off by a minimum of two goals!

WEST HAM VS NOTTM FOREST
Both Teams to Score (NO) $2.05

We head to London Stadium on Sunday night for a mid table kick about between West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

The Hammers are winless in four PL fixtures (1D,3L), and will enter this fixture off the back of a short European turnaround.

Meanwhile, Forest broke a six game winless streak (4D,2L) with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa last time out.

The ‘Both Teams to Score’ market has failed to hit in the last three meetings between this pair, while the same can be said for three of Notts last four league fixtures.

I don’t mind the value on taking Forest outright @$4, but I’m happy to back against both teams finding the back of the net at a healthy $2.05.

CHELSEA VS MAN CITY
SGM: City to Win | Doku 1+ SoT $2.85

Chelsea are out to knock off the top of the table side in back-to-back fixtures when they welcome City to the Bridge.

The Blues played themselves into scoring form against a 9-man Tottenham outfit last week, with maligned striker Nicolas Jackson bagging a second half hat trick.

Meanwhile, Man City put six goals past a full strength Cherries outfit, with new signing Jeremy Doku laying on an impressive four assists for his teammates.

I’m backing Man City to claim their 7th straight victory over the Blues here, combined with 1+ shot on target from Doku.
