With only six weeks left of the regular season, most teams are limping towards the end of the year.
Injuries are an unavoidable part of American football but this year the injury plagued has wiped out seemingly every Quarterback.
At the time of writing, we have six starting QBs out for the year on injured reserve and just as many either banged up, questionable or have just flat out been benched because they suck.
This season seems more about survival than dominating other teams.
It’s Thanksgiving weekend over in the US this week so we have every team playing! We also have the first ever Black Friday game (Saturday over here) so make sure your fantasy lineups are set accordingly.
I’ve run my eyes over each market, simulated each game in Madden and checked the waiver wire for fantasy studs.
Here is my preview of Week 12 of the NFL.
The NFC North will kick off a monster week of football.
The 8-2 Lions will host their divisional rivals the 6-5 Packers and even though the Bears gave Detroit a run for their money last week, I don’t see GB getting close in this one.
The line is set at 7.5 and the Packers are a massive $4 to get the W. Not what you want to see if you’re a cheesehead.
The Pack escaped with a close win over the Chargers last week but this Lions side is different gravy on both sides of the ball.
Lions -7.5 @ $1.90
SGM $3.85
- Jared Goff 250+ Passing Yards $1.72
- Jahmyr Gibbs Over 50.5 Rushing Yards $1.90
- Amon-Ra St Brown 60+ Receiving Yards $1.20
Divisional matchups is a big theme this week, we’ve got an NFC East one here with the Cowboys hosting the Commies.
The Commanders just lost to whoever is still hanging around in the New York Giants organisation. Not great for team confidence a week before you take on the 7-3 Cowboys.
Washington are doing some pretty good things this year don’t get me wrong, Sam Howell leads the league in passing yards which absolutley no one expected this far into the season.
I don’t think that’s enough for them this week though, the Cowboys defence is far too good, the beat up Bryce Young last week and Sam Howell will more thank likely get the same treatment
My Bets
- Cowboys -11 @ $1.90
- CeeDee Lamb 75+ Receiving Yards
- Dak Prescott 3+ TD Passes
We’ve got three games this Friday and rounding out the triple header is two NFC West sides that love to beat each other up. The 49ers will head to Seattle.
Brock Purdy played a perfect game last week, literally perfect. 21/25 for 333 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Will the Seahawks have an answer for this 49ers team? I don’t think so. They are 6-4 on the year but could not get it done over the Rams last week.
Geno Smith is under an injury cloud on a short week too. I think the 9ers cover here comfortably.
My Bets
- 49ers -6.5 @ $1.90
- Brandon Aiyuk 60+ Receiving Yards
- Christian McCaffrey Anytime Touchdown Scorer
The first ever Black Friday game goes down this week, the Jets will host Miami in another game this week that could be very onesided.
Zach Wilson has officially been benched and we all know how much Miami love beating down on losing teams.
Tim Boyle will be under centre for the Jets so I’d be backing no one but Breece Hall in NY.
If De’Von Achane doesn’t suit up this week, Raheem Mostert should run wild on this Jets team, they do have one of the best defences in the league but Miami’s offense should be too good here.
My Bets
- Dolphins 14+ @ $2.40
- Tyreek Hill Anytime Touchdown
- Raheem Mostert Anytime Touchdown
Call me crazy, but this is a game that I think the Panthers can win.
They have been dismal this year. The receivers can’t get open, the o-line can’t protect Bryce and that has force the first overall pick into making some poor decisions with the ball but… I don’t know hey.
The Titans have lost three on the trot and have flat out just looked bad in big chunks of the season.
They’re in the bottom half of the league in sacks, only one more than the Texans and who is the only team the Panthers have beaten this year? The Texans.
The Panthers need to get a lot right this week but if they’re faced with less pressure at the line of scrimmage like the Titans have shown this year, they’ll have every opportunity.
Panthers H2H
My Bets
- Panthers H2H @ $2.60
- Bryce Young 250+ Passing Yards
- Adam Thielen Anytime Touchdown
One of the games of the week this one.
Jacksonville, off a big bounce back win last week will take on CJ Stroud and the Texans, the team that every football fan has a bit of a crush on this year.
The Texans are short outsiders at $2.05 and are every chance here. The Jags have shown this year that yes their ceiling is high but my god is their floor low.
The Texans are 4-1 at home this year and I think that’s enough to sway me into them. The Jags were good last year but no one has really come into Houston this year and bullied this Texans team.
My Bets
- Texans H2H @ $2.05
- CJ Stroud 275+ Passing Yards
- Trevor Lawrence 275+ Passing Yards
It might be all over for Cincy.
Scratch that, it is all over for Cincy.
Just when they were starting to get on a run, a fresh injury to Joe Burrow has put him out for the year and likely ending their post season hopes.
Jake Browning will be the QB for the Bengals this week and I don’t like his chances against a Steelers team that just sacked their OC and have been propped up by their defence all year.
My Bets
- Steelers H2H @ $1.87
- Jaylen Warren 70+ Rushing Yards
- Jaylen Warren Anytime Touchdown Scorer
One of the bigger games of the week for the wrong reasons.
The 3-8 Giants will host the 2-8 Pats and the result of this game will have big implications for the first few picks in the draft at the end of the year.
The Giants got it done last week over the Commanders thanks to Saquon and an incredible performance from Tommy DeVito but the Pats defence you’d imagine should be too good here.
Especially when the Giants are as one dimensional as they are.
You’d imagine Caleb Williams and Drake Maye will be watching this game quite closely.
My Bets
- Patriots -3 @ $1.90
- Unders…. Just back the unders
A genuine coin flip this game, both sides are $1.90 to win and a win here for either side will go a long way in the race for the NFC South.
Both sides have Quarterbacks under injury clouds which makes this a nightmare to do the form for.
On top of that, Arthur Smith just doesn’t use his offensive weapons.
I lean towards the home team here and I’m banking on Bijan getting 20+ carries. If that happens the Falcons should get the job done.
My Bets
- Falcons H2H @ $1.90
- Bijan Robinson Anytime Touchdown
- Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown
The Colts are $1.72 favourites here but I’m not buying it.
The Buccs kept it bloody close against the 49ers last week. The score line shows a 13 point win but the Buccaneers held in for a very long time in that game.
I think they beat the Colts here. The Colts are on a two game win streak but that looks like fools gold to me, wins over the Pats and Panthers and that impressive this year.
Lets go Baker!
My Bets
- Buccaneers H2H @ $2.15
- Baker Mayfield 250+ Passing Yards
- Baker Mayfield 2+ Passing Touchdowns
Have the Broncos finally turned a corner? It’s starting to look like they have.
They’re on a four game win streak with wins over the Packers, Chiefs, Bills and a big comeback win over the Vikings last week.
Now they take on a Cleveland Browns team lead by Dorian Thompson-Robinson, the Broncos should really win this game.
Russ clearly went to culinary school in the offseason, suddenly I actually want to let him cook.
My Bets
- Broncos -2.5 @ $1.90
- Jerry Jeudy Over 60+ Receiving Yards
I took the Cardinals win line on before the season started, it was 4.5 and we didn’t know if Kyler would play this season.
He is indeed back and looks just as good as ever.
The Cards didn’t get the win last week but an extra week of Kyler under centre and I think that they should beat this Rams team.
LA have been very hot and cold this year and now it looks like Kupp is hurt again, I think Kyler could really run riot on this team.
My Bets
- Cardinals H2H @ $1.90
- Kyler Murray 250+ Passing Yards
- Hollywood Brown Anytime Touchdown
This is a game that I would’ve been very excited for a few months ago, now I genuinely believe this will be Eagles 14+.
Philly have not taken a backwards step this year, they’ve just beat the Chiefs and made Mahomes a non factor.
Now they take on the turnover machine Mr Josh Allen? I think we could see a really one sided scoreline here.
Buffalo have some serious problems and I don’t think the bookies have quite clued on yet.
AJ Brown had a very quiet game last week, that won’t happen two games in a row.
My Bets
- Eagles 14+ @ $4.20
- AJ Brown 75+ Receiving Yards
- Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown
The Chiefs will be licking their wounds after being held scoreless in the second half against the Eagles.
It’s a big AFC East clash in Vegas and for those that have watched Quarterback on Netflix, you’ll be pumped for the return of Mahomes v Crosby.
The Chiefs are short favourites at $1.20 but I don’t see this being a beatdown. KC haven’t put teams away this year. They have one win of over 14+ points against the Jags and with this Raiders pass rush, I think Chiefs 1-13 is the sensible play once again.
My Bets
- Chiefs 1-13 @ $2.13
- Travis Kelce 80+ Receiving Yards
- Isaiah Pacheco 60+ Rushing Yards
The Chargers are a joke, they are wasting the incredible talent of Justin Herbert.
Everything about them this year stinks and I think it’s going to go from bad to worse against the Ravens here.
Baltimore lost their number one target, Mark Andrews last week but have enough pass catchers that this shouldn’t hinder them. When Andrews was out to start the year, Zay Flowers stood up and I like him to do that again.
My Bets
- Ravens +3.5 @ $1.90
- Zay Flowers 75+ Receiving Yards
- Zay Flowers Anytime Touchdown
Wrapping up a massive Week 12 we have the Vikings hosting the Bears in another big divisional game.
Justin Fields returned last week and looked like a breath of fresh air in Chi-Town, they kept up with the Lions right to the very end.
The Vikings crashed back to earth last week too with a late loss over Denver.
The Bears could be the way to go in this game, Fields has proven that he can play and if we see the same Vikings team we saw last week – I think the Bears steal a W here.
Bears to cover.
My Bets
- Bears +3.5 @ $1.90
- Justin Fields 50+ Rushing Yards
- Josh Dobbs 40+ Rushing Yards
Another week, another group of five players with good matchups that let us down.
The show goes, I’ve studied the matchups for my Fantasy team multi and let me tell you, there are some serious studs with great matchups this week.
