2023 NFL Week 10 Tips & Preview

2023 NFL Week 10 Tips & Preview

Blink and you’ll miss it, the NFL season is heading towards the pointy end just as quickly as it started!

I can’t believe we’re already into Week 10, what a crazy season it has been so far.

As always, there are some great matchups this week, we’ve got divisional rivalries and what could be a sneak peek into what could be the Super Bowl.

I’ve run my eyes over each market, simulated each game in Madden and checked the waiver wire for fantasy studs.

Here is my preview of Week 10 of the NFL.

CHICAGO BEARS VS CAROLINA PANTHERS
See Below

This game is win win for Chicago surely, they either beat the Panthers and the pick they traded for becomes the 1st overall pick or they lose and the exact same thing happens.

It could be the saddest TNF game of the year, the Panthers were horrendous last week but (and if he proves me wrong this week I will stop defending him) I don’t think it was all on rookie QB Bryce Young.

For some sick and twisted reason, I watched and then re watched every drop back Young had against the Colts.

Bryce threw A LOT of checkdowns in that game, was it because his receivers weren’t getting open down field, poor play calling or because he had no time in the pocket?

I think it’s all of the above.

When that’s the only way you can move the ball, NFL level defenders are going to clue on pretty quickly and that’s why we saw so many takeaway.

I truly believe Bryce will be an elite QB in this league, it’s just going to take longer than a lot of fans have the patience for.

Enough sooking lets look at this game.

Justin Fields still isn’t fully training after his thumb injury which leads me to believe he won’t be playing once again, the Bears have failed to cover the line in five of their last six home games and I believe that the Panthers can be a better team than we’ve seen.

I’m going to back the Panthers on my personal account but tip you punters into Carolina to cover the 3.5 point.

Panthers +3.5 @ $1.94

SGM $5.22

  • Bryce Young 175+ Passing Yards $1.24
  • Chuba Hubbard 40+ Rushing Yards $1.58
  • Adam Thielen Anytime Touchdown Scorer $2.70
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
See Below

I’m not sure what the Germans did to deserve this stinker but early on Monday morning the Pats and Colts will battle it out in Frankfurt!

Last week’s Chiefs v Dolphins game was a let down, I can’t see this one being any better.

The Colts defence bullied Bryce Young last week as I just mentioned and I think they could dish out the same sort of hurt to Mac Jones.

Colts H2H looks the value here, lets move on.

My Bets

  • Colts H2H @ $1.82
  • Michael Pittman 60+ Receiving Yards
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS VS TENNESSEE TITANS
See Below

The Bucs lost to a rookie QB last week, will it happen again this week?

It took a monumental effort from CJ Stroud to get the W over Tampa last week and even though he’s been good in two starts, I’m not sure if Will Levis quite has it in him just yet.

Levis had the chance to lead a game winning drive late against the Steelers last week and threw a heartbreaking interception, he’s been a breath of fresh air in Tennessee but still has a lot of learning to do.

Meanwhile Tampa have had a relatively consistent offense this season, I think they’re value to get the W here.

My Bets

  • Buccaneers H2H @ $1.87
  • Mike Evans 60+ Receiving Yards
  • Rachaad White Anytime Touchdown Scorer
CINCINNATI BENGALS VS HOUSTON TEXANS
See Below

CJ Stroud has been balling out but will have to do it against the ultimate baller in Joe Burrow this week.

The Bengals have really taken a turn for the better in recent weeks, despite being at the bottom of the AFC North, I really like them to go deep this post season.

Houston are $3.50 to get it done against Cincy but honestly, who is stopping the Bengals at the moment?

My Bets

  • Bengals -7 @ $1.98
  • Joe Burrow 275+ Passing Yards
  • Tee Higgins 60+ Receiving Yards
  • Tee Higgins Anytime Touchdown Scorer
MINNESOTA VIKINGS V NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
See Below

Josh Dobbs lead the Vikings to a win without knowing any of his teammates names, imagine what he’s going to do to the Saints with a full week of training under his belt!

I’m not sure why but the Saints have opened as $1.65 favourites, I’m not buying that at all.

Dobbs has proven already this year that he is a serviceable starting quarterback in this league and Derrick Carr just barely threw for 200 yards over the Bears

Vikings the value here.

My Bets

  • Vikings H2H @ $2.25
  • Jordan Addison 60+ Receiving Yards
  • T.J. Hockenson Anytime Touchdown
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS VS SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
See Below

Easily the game of the week and a very realistic chance of being the Super Bowl this year.

The 9ers are coming off the bye and should be better for it.

They were dismantled by Burrow and the Bengals Week 8 and but the bookies are expecting a bounce back having opened as $1.58 favourites here.

I wouldn’t sleep on the Jags though, they’re 6-2 and are the only team in the league on a five game winning streak.

It’s a bloody tough line to pick here, it’s sitting smack bang on three points and I can see this game being won on a field goal.

The Jaguars have covered the line in each of their last five games but for me, I think the Jaguars on the nose is the play here.

My Bets

  • Jaguars H2H @ $2.40
  • Trevor Lawrence 225+ Passing Yards
  • Travis Etienne 80+ Rushing Yards
BALTIMORE RAVENS VS CLEVELAND BROWNS
See Below

I’m a big fan of the AFC North, it’s a division that always gives us huge games and this one should be no different.

The Ravens are absolutley cooking at the moment and even though they didn’t fill the stat sheet, they absolutley dismantled the Seahawks last week 37-3.

What did the Browns get up to? I hear you ask.

Only a 27-0 shutout of the Arizona Cardinals.

Head to head in the last five games this match up has been 3-2 Baltimore and I’m obviously learning towards the $1.35 favourites.

The Ravens look like one of the best teams in the AFC at the moment and even though these sides have history, I can’t see the Browns winning here.

My Bets

  • Ravens -6 @ $1.90
  • Keaton Mitchell 70+ Rushing Yards
  • Mark Andrews Anytime Touchdown Scorer
PITTSBURGH STEELERS V GREEN BAY PACKERS
See Below

I see these two teams in the exact same way this season, heaps of talent on paper (and Madden) but not living up to expectations.

Sure the Steelers won last week… and have a 5-3 record… and have a huge win over the Ravens who I quite like in the Super Bowl market but I’m just not buying it at the moment in Pittsburgh.

There’s just something about them that’s rubbing me the wrong way that I can’t quite put my finger on.

Even though the Packers are 3-5 I honestly think this game is very winnable for the Pack, Aaron Jones seems to be healthy again, Love went 20/26 for 228 and a score last week and the defence kept LA to just three points.

I like the Packers at $2.50 this week.

My Bets

  • Packers H2H @ $2.50
  • Aaron Jones 60+ Rushing Yards
  • Aaron Jones Anytime Touchdown
ARIZONA CARDINALS VS ATLANTA FALCONS
See Below

KYLER MURRAY IS BACK BOYS.

Suddenly I’m excited to watch the Cardinals again.

The news of the former 1st overall pick returning has seen the Cardinals H2H price plummet to short $2.05 outsiders.

The Falcons are a team that’s really getting under my skin purely because Arthur Smith won’t use his good players for anything other than blocking and holding the ball for the Kicker.

They got dusted last week by a QB that is probably still living out of a suitcase in Minnesota at the moment. I think Kyler gets a win in his first game back and shows off how his knee is holding up.

My Bets

  • Cardinals H2H @ $2.05
  • Kyler Murray Anytime Touchdown Scorer
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS VS DETROIT LIONS
See Below

I’m really off the Chargers at the moment and it’s 100% because Justin Herbert put up a stinker on MNF that saw me lose my fantasy matchup by 0.03 (I’m going to use my platform to complain, what are you going to do about it?)

This week the Lions head to LA and I can’t wait to see them dismantle the Chargers.

The 6-2 Lions look like crazy good value at $1.70.

I get that the Chargers have some weapons but I cannot see them getting past this Detroit team. ‘

My Bets

  • Lions H2H @ $1.75
  • Jared Goff Over 250+ Passing Yards
  • David Montgomery Over 50+ Rushing Yards
  • Jahmyr Gibbs Over 50+ Rushing Yards
DALLAS COWBOYS VS NEW YORK GIANTS
See Below

The New York Football Giants will step into this NFC East rivalry game at the low low price of $10 to win after the season ending ACL tear to Quarterback Daniel Jones.

The Giants have just the two wins to their name this season and now come up against the team that shut them out in the season opener 40-0 with a quarterback named Tommy Devito.

You might as well wheel Danny Devito out there as you quarterback, you’d get the same result… a very early draft pick next year.

Will the Giants take a new quarterback? Only time will tell.

My Bets

  • Cowboys 14+ @ $1.53
  • Dak Prescott Over 250+ Passing Yards
  • CeeDee Lamb Over 70+ Receiving Yards
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS VS WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
See Below

The Seahawks were embarrassed last week in a very one sided Bird Bowl but are favoured to bounce back in a match up against the Commies who are in full tank mode for the back end of the year.

Geno and Seattle have opened as $1.35 favourites against Washington who are coming off a win against the Patriots.

It’s not really a win that fills me with confidence, both of those teams suck and someone had to win.

I think Geno should eat against the Commanders defence, I see him having a heap of time in the pocket and throwing for big yards to his WRs who have massively disappointed so far this season.

My Bets

  • Seahawks -6 @ $1.90
  • Geno Smith 275+ Passing Yards
  • Jaxson Smith-Njigba Anytime Touchdown
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS V NEW YORK JETS
See Below

The Raiders take on the other New York team in primetime this week, last week it was a 30-6 pantsing of the Giants.

This match up might be a little tougher for rookie QB Aidan O’Connell.

The Raiders defence was huge last week, even the offense look completley refreshed post firing of McDaniels.

Vegas are $2 outsiders due to just how tough the Jets D has been in recent weeks.

Despite losing to the Chargers last week, they gave Herbert a rough night in the office and should do even naughtier things to O’Connell.

My money is with Vegas here purely for the fact that Maxx Crosby is going to beat up Zach Wilson all night long. Crosby is having a hell of a year and Wilson is not.

My Bets

  • Raiders H2H @ $2.15
  • Josh Jacobs 80+ Rushing Yards
  • Josh Jacobs Anytime Touchdown
BUFFALO BILLS V DENVER BRONCOS
See Below

Buffalo have scored themselves another primetime game, this weekend against the dumpster fire that is the Denver Broncos.

I did not expect Buffalo to be 5-4 at this point in the year but they have the opportunity to really get their season back on track against a Denver side that I heap a lot of crap on but are in fact on a two game winning streak.

Dalton Kincaid is quickly emerging as Josh Allen’s guy.

He saw more targets than Stefon Diggs last week and while that won’t happen all the time, he has certainly carved out a spot in this Bills offense and subsequently, my multis.

Bills 14+ here, Diggs 100 Yards, Kincaid ATD.

My Bets

  • Bills 14+ @ $1.90
  • Stefon Diggs 80+ Receiving yards
  • Dalton Kincaid Anytime Touchdown
FOGS' FANTASY TEAM
See Below

Easily our worst week of the season, finishing with just one from five green ticks. It was a bizarre week for the stat sheets but as a great man in the Neds Content Team says “Onto the next!”

As always, I’ve studied the matchups for my Fantasy team multi and let me tell you, there are some serious studs with great matchups this week.

Just to recap in Week 9 we had:

  • Quarterback: Lamar Jackson Over 225+ Passing Yards vs The Seahawks X
  • Runningback: Saquon Barkley 60+ Rushing Yards vs The Raiders
  • Runningback: Alvin Kamara 60+ Rushing Yards vs The Bears X
  • Wide Receiver: Ja’Marr Chase 70+ Receiving Yards vs The Bills X
  • Wide Receiver: AJ Brown 70+ Receiving Yards vs The Cowboys X
  • Multi: $8.12

Week 10’s Fantasy team looks like this:

  • Quarterback: Josh Allen Over 225+ Passing Yards vs The Broncos
  • Runningback: Breece Hall 60+ Rushing Yards vs The Raiders
  • Runningback: Tony Pollard 60+ Rushing Yards vs The Giants
  • Wide Receiver: Amon-Ra St Brown 60+ Receiving Yards vs The Chargers
  • Wide Receiver: Mike Evans 60+ Receiving Yards vs The Titans
