South Africa can continue their resurgence at the expense of Bangladesh on Tuesday night.
You wouldn’t have known that the Proteas suffered defeat at the hands of the Netherlands last week, when they came out and absolutely destroyed England on the weekend. The confidence and momentum that a performance like that one should deliver, should ultimately see them winning this one as well.
I’ve been rather disappointed by Bangladesh so far at the Cricket World Cup, and I expected them to have won more than one of their four matches to date. Another loss here, and they’re starting to fall into dangerous territory.
I’m expecting South Africa’s big, booming pace attack to cause Bangladesh plenty of headaches, and I think that it’s therefore the perfect opportunity for a player like Marco Jansen to assert himself.
