Sunday October 29th
It’s the best-case scenario for all concerned when the All Blacks take on the Springboks in Sunday’s 2023 Rugby World Cup Final.
Once again, the cream has risen to the top over in France, and the two strongest Southern Hemisphere nations will trade blows, each hoping to become the first ever four-time Rugby World Cup champions.
Host nation France delivered New Zealand a loss in the first match at this Rugby World Cup, but as I said prior to the Quarterfinals, it was probably the worst thing that they could have done. Since then, the All Black have continued to go from strength to strength, and after ending Ireland’s tournament at the first round of the knockouts, they absolutely destroyed Argentina last week.
Unsurprisingly, New Zealand have subsequently opened favourites in 2023 Rugby World Cup Final betting, but there’s still meat on the bone at odds of $1.80 (at publish).
The Springboks her also dealt a single defeat at the Pool stage; their campaign opener against Ireland, but they too haven’t lost a match since, and they beat France in the Quarterfinals before ending England’s tournament last week.
They have been tough and resilient, and they’ve returned some of the more memorable moments on the Rugby World Cup highlights reel. They are up as $2 outsiders in 2023 Rugby World Cup Final betting (at publish).
One thing that is for sure: this match will be nothing short of outstanding. Sparks will fly, we’ll be treated to a thrilling contest that will almost certainly be full of world-class, memorable moments.
I have been with New Zealand since the beginning of the tournament, and I am not going to jump off prior to the final hurdle. I think that it will go right down to the line, but the All Blacks will rightfully be the first nation to four Rugby World Cups.
