The action continues to ramp up in the nation’s west on Saturday as we slowly wind towards the Perth Summer Carnival.
Two black type features headline the nine-race program, and you can find all of my 2023 Eurythmic Stakes Day Tips below.
Fine Touch is chasing a hat-trick at Ascot on Saturday and looms as the one to beat again.
Having returned to winning form over 1700m at Belmont, Fine Touch franked that performance at a mile last time, and the 1800m looks ideal for her this week.
Oscar’s Fortune puts an unbeaten record on the line in Race 2 at Ascot on Saturday, and I’m confident he can keep it alive.
The Rich Enuff gelding stamped himself as one to watch by winning on debut at Belmont in August, and he continued his rise through the grades in tougher company last time.
With further improvement this week, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
Zipaway returned a winner at Belmont last month, and something like this looks the next logical target for him.
The Playing God gelding showed ability without recording an elusive win in three starts during his debut campaign, but got the monkey off his back with an improved performance first-up.
Any natural improvement would see him right into the finish again on Saturday.
Deamber has been a model of consistency since resuming and strikes another winnable race on Eurythmic Stakes Day.
She’s yet to miss placing in four starts back, and broke her maiden at Northam second-up, while she’s unlucky to have been denied at each of her last two.
She’s hard fit this week, gets into this race well and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.
I thought that this looked another really nice race for Celebrity Prince.
Celebrity Prince hasn’t missed placing in four starts back from a break, winning a similar contest at Belmont most notably and finding form around some handy opposition.
He gets some relief in the weights under a claiming apprentice and can fight out the finish.
Ripcord is a talented galloper, and he gets his chance to win at Ascot on Eurythmic Stakes Day.
The Luke Fernie-trained gelding stamped himself as one to watch during his debut prep, and he has so far finished second in a couple of 1000m feature races this time in.
Third-up, he’s ready to strike, and he is my best bet on the program.
Acromantula returns to his native Perth after a fair East Coast raid, and this is a perfect race for him.
The Written Tycoon gelding has always been a strong and consistent sprinter, and after winning the Listed Carlyon Stakes at The Valley in September, he finished down the order in both the McEwen Stakes and the Moir Stakes.
This is a huge drop in class from those races, and with some decent fitness on his side, I think he’s going to take a power of beating.
This is a quality feature race, but I am with the warm favourite second-up from a spell, Valour Road.
Valour Road has been an outstanding galloper for Simon Miller throughout his career, and he returned to action with an eye-catching performance and win in the Idyllic Prince Stakes.
He’s open to improvement, will relish the 1400m and will take beating once more.
Generosity is another last-start winner that looks capable of making it two in a row on Eurythmic Stakes Day.
The Divine Prophet filly has only made three appearances at the races since debuting, but she has improved noticeably with each, and beat home the likes of Ripcord at her latest.
I’m more than confident that form will stand up in something like this.
