The one-sided affairs continue first-up on Sunday when Wales ($1.01) face off with Portugal ($17).
The Welsh opened reasonably firm favourites in their World Cup opener against Fiji, and they were ultimately lucky to sneak away with the win after Semi Radradra spilled the ball in attempting to score.
Wales are now well placed to progress from the Pool should be winning this one comfortably.
This will be Portugal’s tournament debut and I am anticipating it to be a baptism of fire.
The match of the day will almost certainly materialise between Ireland and Tonga.
The Irish gave Romania a lesson in Rugby at their first match last Saturday, as expected, and it will have served as a lovely warm up for a tougher opponent like Tonga.
Tonga have been dealt a tough hand in Pool B against Ireland, South Africa and Scotland, but they will play with plenty of pride and toughness – they might just be a little outclassed.
Romania were given a genuine touch-up by Ireland last weekend, and I rate South Africa a tougher opponent.
The Sprinboks were tested by a brave Scotland outfit, but they still did more than enough to secure a vital W.
What might save Romania a little here is that South Africa have already played and won a game in this group of death, and they’ll almost certainly rest a lot of the better players.
That being said, I’m still expecting a thrashing.
