Premier League Game Week 6 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 6 Tips & Preview

The Premier League rolls into Game Week 6, with 10 exciting fixtures spread over two massive days of action.

The first whistle blows at Etihad Stadium, where City look to go six from six to start the season against Notts Forest.

Elsewhere, Liverpool host West Ham, Chelsea take on Aston Villa, and Ange gets a taste of his first ever North London derby!

Our VAR Virtuoso has done the form on every EPL GW6 contest and provided his best bets below!

MAN CITY VS NOTTM FOREST
Haaland to Score 2+ Goals & City to Win

Manchester City are out to keep their perfect season alive when they play host to Nottingham Forest.

The last time this pair met at Etihad Stadium, City ran out 6-0 winners, with Erling Haaland notching up a first half hat trick!

The Big Norwegian could’ve and probably should’ve had a hat trick against the Irons last time out, instead scoring just once from nine attempts on goal, spooning five big chances!

I’m backing Pep’s goal scoring Robot to take Forest to the cleaners here, scoring at least twice on the way to a sixth straight City win.

LUTON VS WOLVES
Wolves $2.15

Luton welcomes the Wolves to Kenilworth Road for the least anticipated fixture of the round.

The Hatters are sitting dead last on the table, remaining the only side without a competition point to their name.

Meanwhile, the Wolves are 16th, after losing four of their opening five fixtures, with their only victory coming against Everton.

Until Luton can show me they can win in the top-flight, I am more than happy to take them on in the H2H market, especially when over even money is on offer.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS FULHAM
Crystal Palace $1.87

Selhurst Park plays host to the 2nd biggest Lonond Derby of the weekend, as both Crystal Palace and Fulham look to consolidate their positions in the top half of the table.

The Eagles will be hoping to get back to winning ways after they shit the bed against Villa last week, conceding three unanswered goals after the 86th minute, to lose 3-1.

Meanwhile, Fulham edged past Luton 1-0 at home, in an unconvincing performance, but a win nonetheless.

Despite sitting on the same points, Crystal has been playing far better football and should claim all three points in front of their home fans.

BRENTFORD VS EVERTON
Brentford and Under 3.5 Goals $2.45

Don’t bother setting your alarm for the Sunday morning fixture (AEST).

The Bees host the Toffees in a game worth missing.

Brentford are winless across their last three starts (2D,1L), dropping points to Newcastle, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

While, Everton are still searching for their first victory, languishing near the foot of the table with one competition point.

The Toffees have failed to score in four of their five fixtures this season, a stat made more concerning by the fact they’ve only faced one top-six side.

I’m backing the Bees to get the job done here, with one or two goals enough to secure all three points.

BURNLEY VS MAN UTD
Man Utd and Over 2.5 Goals $2.40

The circus is traveling to Burnley, as the Clarets prepare to host the Red Devils.

Man U were dished cup a massive serving of humble pie at home to Brighton last week, going down 3-1 in a fixture that left fans questioning the club’s direction.

Fortunately for United, they are coming up against a Burnley unit without a win and boasting the worst defence in the league (12GA).

I’m backing ten Haag’s men to find their spine and piece together a semi-respectable perforce at Turf Moor.

LIVERPOOL VS WEST HAM
Liverpool to Win & Both Team to Score $2.50

Liverpool put their unbeaten record on the line when they welcome the Hammers to Anfield this weekend.

You have to look back to 2015 to find the Irons’ last victory at Anfield, and it comes as no surprise, with Lovren, Skrtel and Mignolet in the Reds’ starting 11

In more recent history, Liverpool has won six straight at home to West Ham, outscoring the Londoners 15-3 across the trip.

The ‘Both teams to Score’ market has saluted in all five games featuring the Hammers this season, while the same can be said for four of the Reds’ five fixtures.

I’m backing both sides to find the back of the net, with Liverpool doing so on more occasions.

CHELSEA VS ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa $4.00

Chelsea has secured just one win from five starts, largely due to the fact their forwards can’t hit the broad side of a barn!

No side has missed more big chances than the Blues (12) this season.

Alternatively, only Man City (12.6) has a higher Expected goals (xG) than Aston Villa (11.3) across the opening five games.

The Villans have won three of their last four league fixtures, with each games seeing 3+ goals scored.

I’m backing Villa’s form to continue at the Bridge, seeing off this underperforming Chelsea outfit.

ARSENAL VS TOTTENHAM
Over 3.5 Total Goals $2.20

Match of the round, the Game we have all been waiting for!

Ange takes charge of his first North London Derby, as he looks to officially announce himself to the rest of the league.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham enter this clash with 13 points from five fixtures, with the Spurs edging out their arch rivals with a superior goals difference.

Postecoglou will be attempting achieve a feat which was beyond, Conte, Mourinho and even Pochettiono, win away to Arsenal in the league.

That’s right, the last time Tottenham claimed a league victory at the Emirates was in 2010, Harry Redknapp was the man in charge that day, while Rafael van der Vaart popped up for two assists and a goal!

Although I am all-in on the Ange bandwagon, I don’t like the Spurs’ chances against a Gunners outfit ready to push City for the title.

I’m happy to steer clean of the H2H market, instead backing over 3.5 Total Goals to salute for the third successive meeting between this pair at the Emirates.

BRIGHTON VS BOURNEMOUTH
Brighton HT/FT $2.05

Brighton, but by how many?

The Seagulls set their sights on there Cherries, following their dismantling of the formally great side, Manchester United.

Brighton has won their last two contests against Bournemouth without conceding, though they are still searching for their first clean sheet of the 2023/24.

No team has scored more goals than Brighton (15) this season, and I’m backing them to find the back of the net early, before cruising to a comfortable victory.

SHEFF UTD VS NEWCASTLE
Newcastle and Under 3.5 Goals $2.38

Game week 6 comes to a close on Monday morning (AEST), when the Toon travels to Bramall Lane.

Unsurprisingly, the Blades are sitting on just one competition point after five starts, as the newly promoted outfit look set for another long season.

Meanwhile, Newcastle broke a three game losing streak last weekend, narrowly edging out the Bees 1-0 thanks to a Callum Wilson penalty.

The Toons are yet to hit their straps this season, but I’m backing them to wrestle away three points on the road here, be it in a low scoring contest.
