France vs Uruguay
Uruguay (+58.5)

The action recommences on Friday morning AEDT with what could be the most one-sided clash at the 2023 Rugby World Cup so far.

So much is expected of host nation France this year, and their first-up performance and win over New Zealand suggested that they are answering the call.

There is no doubt that they’ll rest some key personnel for this game, but their bottom line obviously remains way higher than the best rugby that Uruguay could possibly produce.

That being said, Uruguay did pull off an upset win over Fiji at their return to the Rugby World Cup in 2019, and they’ll be eager to at least compete in this, their first match of the 2023 campaign.

France will win this, but with players rested, I think the 58.5-point line is a little high.
