Kicking off in Race 4 at Angle Park tonight, and I thought that Springvale Roxy can go forward and control this one on the speed.
The daughter of Barcia Bale hasn’t missed placing at her last eight trips to the races, winning three times, including an eye-catching effort over this route last week.
If she steps well, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.
Amron Boy is the class engaged in this contest and will take a power of beating from Box 1.
The son of Zambora Brockie has been a model of consistency throughout his career, winning twenty-two of his fifty-three starts and placing a further eighteen times, while finding form around some of the country’s best chasers.
There isn’t much value left in his win quote tonight, so I am instead going to select him as the winner in a Same Race Multi and pump up my odds with Dash Of Blue and Afire each running into the first four.
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 1 Amron Boy (Win)
- 3 Dash Of Blue (Top 4)
- 7 Afire (Top 4)
Launch Code takes winning form into this Adelaide Cup Heat, and I think that he can make it two in a row.
The son of Fernando Bale has been racing in strong and consistent form since making his debut, and has won five of his last seven starts.
He’s a multiple winner from Box 4 and with even luck, he can book his place in next week’s Final.
I concede that early odds-on favourite Transponder will be tough to beat, but I am keen to take him on at the price with Wyburn Ruby.
Wyburn Ruby was pipped late by the likes of Cawbourne Magic at her latest start, but her form prior to that was excellent, and included four wins in succession in Tasmania.
She boasts a great record when leaving from wide boxes and this really does look a lovely race for her.
