Golden Estrella made racing debut at Sandown on a heavy track in early July and finished just over three lengths from the winner.
The daughter of Zoustar will be better for that run, will appreciate the step back in grade as well the firmer track.
Made Of Gold broke through for his maiden win at start eight two back at Bendigo over 2400m by five lengths.
The five-year-old was only narrowly denied the start previous to that at this track and distance and he has been placed in six of his eight career starts.
Forget his last run where he was pulled up, and he looks well placed in this race with fitness not a concern.
Struck Gold was placed on debut at Avondale back in June on a heavy 10 and then had eight weeks in between runs which included a trial win.
He then bolted in by four lengths at Echuca a couple of weeks back over 1300m and I can’t find a reason why he won’t measure up to a field of this quality.
Aperol Blitz has been competitive in all three of her career starts which includes a win on debut.
She was last seen back in March when finishing half a length behind the winner in a benchmark 64 at Sandown and she has performed on a good track in the past.
