best bet
Sandown: Race 2 (1pm)
No. 8 The Devil In Her

The Devil In Her just got a little too far back here at Sandown to figure in the finish last time, but I am confident that she will atone today.

The Sebring filly gave them a galloping lesson out at Tatura first-up, and her turn of foot here last time was eye-catching.

Fitter third-up and staying at the mile, she is my best bet of the day.

Warwick Farm: Race 4 (2:35pm)
No. 12 Dancing Alone

Dancing Alone makes her eagerly awaited return to the races at Warwick Farm this afternoon, and she can keep alive her unbeaten record.

The I Am Invincible filly won on debut at Canberra back in January and went to the paddock following another easy win in Class 1 company.

She’s had the benefit of a couple of nice trials leading up to this return, and she can continue her rise through the grades.

Warwick Farm: Race 5 (3:10pm)
No. 8 Thousand Years

Thousand Years drops in class at Warwick Farm today, and she is open to plenty of improvement second-up from a spell.

Dundeel mare has been a consistent performer for Peter & Paul Snowden throughout her career, recording three wins and as many minors from just ten appearances.

She wasn’t disgraced in BM72 company at Randwick when resuming and she boasts a strong second-up record.

Sandown: Race 7 (3:55pm)
No. 1 Kooled

Kooled will be charging at them late, and he looks a bit of value ahead of Race 7 at Sandown today in my opinion ($10 at publish).

The Frosted gelding was freshed after finishing down the order here in early June, but returned to action a couple of weeks ago with a nice performance to finish second behind La Zucca.

With improvement and some relief in the weights today, I think he’ll be in the finish again.
