each way
Ballarat: Race 4 (2:30pm)
No. 10 Namaska

I think that Namaska looks a good winning chance at Ballarat today at a nice price ($7.50 at publish).

The Pariah filly is yet to strike in five previous appearances, but there’s no doubt that she has continued to improve with each, and she was last seen filling the minors here at Ballarat behind Frenchmans Bay.

She’s drawn a peach today and we can have an each way play at the price.

Ballarat: Race 6 (4:30pm)
No. 8 One Out

One Out hasn’t been far away from the winner at any of his three starts back this time, and he gets a great chance to strike at Ballarat this afternoon.

The Dissident gelding is another that has continued to improve as he has stripped fitter, and he was last seen finishing second behind Kodiak in a similar race here last time.

He steps out today in peak order and might not be offered a better opportunity to win.

Ballarat: Race 7 (4pm)
No. 3 Zequel

Zequel broke his maiden here a at his last appearance and can continue his rise through the grades today at Ballarat.

The Russian Revolution gelding didn’t show a lot in two starts last year, but he was tipped out and given plenty of time, and he only just missed at his first run back this time.

Fitter third-up, this looks the next logical step for him to take.

Ballarat: Race 8 (4:30pm)
No. 11 Romanova

Romanova’s first look at the synthetic heralded a dominant win here last month, and she can continue her rise through the grades today.

The Russian Revolution stripped fitter with a couple of competitive efforts at Pakenham and Werribee first and second up, but absolutely loved the conditions here at her latest.

She looks to be in peak order now and should receive every chance again under Linda Meech.
