Hi Dubai only just missed at her first two starts back this time and I am confident she’s ready to strike at Randwick today.
The Highland Reel filly was only just denied in BM64 company first-up from a break, before again only just missing in a photo finish at Rosehill.
Fitter third-up, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.
Dolphin Skin looks to have a very bright future, and she can continue her rise through the grades at HQ this afternoon.
The Team Corstens-trained filly has made just three appearances at the races since debuting, all here at Flemington, and highlighted by an eye-catching win over a mile in Listed company last time out.
The 1800m looks ideal and she harbours plenty of upside.
Stonecoat returned a winner here at Randwick last month and looks well placed to strike again today.
The Pierro gelding ended his last prep with consecutive wins over a mile, including the Morphettville Guineas, and picked up where he left off with an eye-catching performance over 1400m.
The form out of that race has been franked, and Stonecoat is subsequently my best bet of the day.
Outback Action was scratched from a similar race at Doomben last weekend, and given that I was keen on him then, I’m happy to roll that through to today!
We were with him two starts back when he gave them an absolute galloping lesson from a forward position on Neds Mornington Cup Day, and he has been freshened since a tough and somewhat flat run in South Australia.
He’s yet to miss placing when fresh and gets into this race well under Angela Jones.
