Canterbury: Race 4 (2:35pm)
No. 3 Flashing Steel

Flashing Steel is chasing a hat-trick when he takes his place in Race 4 at Canterbury today.

The Not A Single Doubt gelding returned to winning form at Kembla Grange two starts back, before putting paid to them in a similar contest here at Canterbury last time.

He’s in peak order and drawn well under James McDonald today, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Canterbury: Race 5 (3:10pm)
No. 11 Lovero

Lovero hasn’t been seen at the races since November, but she races well fresh, and I think that this is an ideal kick-off point for her.

The Astern mare returned a winner in maiden company at Gosford last time in, before filling the minors in BM64 company.

A recent Rosehill trial performance adds confidence, and she is drawn to receive every chance today.

Canterbury: Race 6 (3:45pm)
No. 4 King Of Naples

Another resuming galloper with winning claims at Canterbury today is King Of Naples.

King Of Naples was a strong and consistent performer last time in, finding form around some talented gallopers in town and winning a BM64 race at Gosford most notably.

He’s had the benefit of a couple of trials leading up to his return and is another whose winning claims are boosted today with the booking of James McDonald.

Canterbury: Race 7 (4:20pm)
No. 6 Queenmaker

Queenmaker is racing in top order and looms as the one to beat again in the last at Canterbury today.

The daughter of Tavistock hasn’t finished worse than second at her last four trips to the races, winning twice and reeling them in easily to salute here last time out.

She’s in peak order and draw ideally today under Sam Clipperton.
