Warwick Farm: Race 2 (1:25pm)
No. 2 Zouprince

Zouprince returned a lovely effort to finished second on debut at Canterbury earlier this month, and I am confident that he will go one better today.

The Zoustar colt showed plenty of promise at the trials prior to debuting and worked home well behind Epic Proportions in the 1100m maiden.

With natural improvement and from the good draw today, he can begin his rise through the grades.

Sandown: Race 3 (1:35pm)
No. 16 Blackcomb

Blackcomb rates as a key winning chance at Sandown today third-up, and at a lovely price ($13 at publish).

The Danny O’Brien-trained mare only just missed at Kilmore in her first run back from a break, before hitting the line to fill the minors here at Sandown last time out, finishing within a length of the winner.

A mile is ideal, she gets into the race well at the weights and we can have an each way play at the price.

Warwick Farm: Race 5 (3:10pm)
No. 5 Ramones

I thought that Ramones looked very good in his first run back from a break earlier this month, and he rates as a key winning chance at Warwick Farm this afternoon.

The Zoustar gelding returned some quality performances last time in, breaking his maiden at Randwick most notably.

He’s yet to finish worse than second at this point of his preparation and can continue his rise through the grades.

Sandown: Race 6 (3:20pm)
No. 12 Von Hauke

Von Hauke returned a winner at Mornington earlier this month, and something like this looks the next logical step for him.

The Savabeel gelding showed some promise during his short debut prep without recording an elusive win, but got the monkey off his back with a dominant effort over 1200m first-up this time.

With natural improvement and appropriate luck from the draw, he can continue his rise through the grades.
