Chinchilla: Race 3 (2:15pm)
No. 1 Bungarribee Lad

Bungarribee Lad finishes last when resuming this prep at Doomben over 1200m and then followed that effort when beaten four lengths at Toowoomba.

The four year old gelding has been placed in seven of his 14 career race starts including a narrow defeat in the Country Stampede Final at Doomben in December.

He’s being asked to lump the big weight in this even but his class will take him a long way.

Chinchilla: Race 4 (2:50pm)
No. 5 Phionaix

It has been a long prep for the Pat Webster trained Phionaix but he has managed to fill the placings in his last three in a row.

His winning strike rate is nothing to write home about but he was beaten half a length at this track and distance in a similar grade just three back.

He’s a nice each way price.

Chinchilla: Race 6 (4:05pm)
No. 1 Magic Charlee

Mark Currie sends his seven year old gelding Magic Charlee to Chinchilla for the first time to tackle the sixth race of the afternoon.

He has been placed in 15 of 35 on a good track and the apprentice will give weight relief.

The son of Magic Albert was beaten less than a length in a No Metro Win at Eagle Farm three back and if he brings that form, he’ll be right in a race of this quality.

Chinchilla: Race 7 (4:45pm)
No. 4 Abb Roy

Abb Roy has his 130th race start this afternoon in Chinchilla but the nine year old mare comes into the race in pretty good form.

She has managed to place in her last four straight which includes a third at this track and distance four back and she should settle just off the speed from barrier seven.

Fitness should not be a concern and she is a good each way price.
