Leandra steps out this week second-up and ready to break her maiden.
The Choisir filly showed promise during her debut prep without recording an elusive win, and she returned with a nice effort to finish fourth at Canterbury earlier this month.
With improvement and dropping back to the provincials, this looks her opportunity to strike.
Funambulist steps out third-up at Hawkesbury today and I think that it looks a very suitable race for him.
The New Bay gelding has raced consistently since arriving in Annabel Neasham’s care last year, and while he hasn’t shown his best in two starts back this time, there’s no doubt that his fitness has improved noticeably.
Further out in trip today and with some relief in the weights, I think he can return to winning form.
I’m pretty keen on Eau De Vie in the penultimate race at Hawkesbury today.
Eau De Vie has returned some lovely performances this time in, breaking her maiden at Kembla Grange before finishing a credible sixth in the Adrian Knox Stakes last month.
She has been freshened and sent back to the trials since that race, and this is obviously a big drop in class.
Cause For Concern looks well placed to strike at Pakenham tonight.
The Worthy Cause gelding was good during his brief debut prep, winning on debut at Bendigo before filling the minors in BM64 company at Sandown, and he was decent late when fourth in BM64 company first-up this time.
With improvement and from a good draw tonight, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
