UFC Fight Night: Song vs Simon Tips & Preview

The UFC returns to the Apex in Las Vegas this weekend with two exciting Bantamweights headlining the card.

Our full UFC Fight Night: Song vs Simon Tips & Preview can be found below.

Song Yadong vs Ricky Simon
Will The Fight Go The Distance - No @ $1.57

Song Yadong has just two losses to his UFC resume since making his debut in the biggest MMA promotion in the world in 2017.

The Chinese born fighter lost a decision to Kyler Phillips during 2021 and lost via doctor’s stoppage against top prospect Cory Sandhagen in September last year.

He has first round KO finishes over Alejandro Perez and Marlon Moraes as well as a decision win over Chito Vera.

After back to back losses to Urijah Faber and Rob Font in 2019, Ricky Simon has been on a tear in recent times.

He comes into this main event fight with five wins in a row, three of them finishes.

I am finding this one extremely tough to pick head to head between two dangerous mixed martial artists but I am confident the judges will not be needed

Rodolfo Vieira vs Cody Brundage
Vieira By Submission @ $1.95

Rodolfo Vieira is one of the best BJJ practitioners in the entire UFC and although his recent record isn’t great viewing, he is as dangerous as they come on the mat.

He is a multiple time BJJ World Championships gold medalist and seven of his eight pro MMA wins have come via submission.

Having lost his fight on Dana White’s Contender Series, Cody Brundage found a way into the UFC where he now has a 2:2 record.

His last three fights have ended in the first round and he has an incredibly tough match up here against the Brazilian.

If Vieira gets this fight to the canvas, this fight is over and that is my prediction.

Julian Erosa vs Fernando Padilla
Julian Erosa @ $1.65

Julian Erosa was the victim of a Alex Caceres head kick when he last entered the octagon, losing via TKO in the first round.

His record previous to that was good, winning six of his last seven.

Fernando Padilla is a Mexican fighter who makes his UFC debut with a record of 14 wins and 4 losses.

There has been a revolution of such by Mexicans fighters in the UFC of late and another gets an opportunity here.

12 of his 14 wins have been finishes and eight of those have been by submission.

Julian Erosa is an incredibly well rounded fighter who is more than capable should the fight go to the canvas and I think he simply has too many weapons, as well as experience, in this match up.
