Four weeks ago, Arsenal were flying high with an apparently unassailable 8-point competition lead.
Fast forward to today, and three shock draws have been compounded by a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City, and the Premier League Trophy is drifting away from The Emirates.
The Gunners simply need to win all of their remaining matches and pray that City drop a couple, and boy does that make for an exciting run home.
Lots to look forward to in Game Week 32!
A London Derby kicks off proceedings and both clubs enter in losing form.
Winning the league was obviously always going to be impossible, but West Ham particularly have been a bit disappointing this season, and they currently sit fifteenth overall.
Palace meanwhile have returned a performance typical of Palace, and they sit midtable.
I can’t split the two, and the bookies seem to have had trouble too, so I’m going to sit on the fence.
One of the more one-sided matches of the week if the market is to be believed and Brighton have opened firm favourites.
They produced plenty of high-quality football this season and if I was a betting man, I’d say they’ll be in the thick of it next campaign, fighting for European qualification.
Wolves did return to winning form at their last appearance, but this certainly hasn’t been their best Premier league campaign, and I think they’re outclassed this week.
Brentford have opened clear favourites ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest, but with the latter so desperate for points, I don’t think it’s quite that clear cut.
The Bees drew with an in form Villa two back before recording an impressive win over Chelsea at their latest.
Forest’s desperation resulted in a vital win over Brighton midweek, but they’ll need to produce the same thing, if not a better one to sink Brentford.
Whichever way it falls, I’m expecting plenty of goals.
Is there any stopping Newcastle?
Boy, have they been good this year and a Champions League berth would be extremely fitting.
In any other week, I’d tip this one with my eyes closed, but the relegation-bound Southampton step out following what was probably their best performance of the season, a draw with ladder-leading Arsenal.
Still, it’s hard to imagine lightning striking twice!
An interesting clash between two clubs that still aren’t assured Premier League safety.
The Cherries knocked off Southampton midweek while Leeds were unlucky not to knock off Leicester City.
I consider these two clubs to be very evenly matched, and that points towards a likely result!
City have one hand on the Premier League trophy and surely, they absolutely destroy Fulham this week.
Thursday morning’s big win over Arsenal put them in the driver’s seat, and I can’t find a reason why they won’t produce another one here, nor how they could concede!
A pretty clear match of the round in my opinion, and a case to be made for both United and Villa!
Even when they don’t look like a title threat, United are typically always thereabouts, but how about Villa this year?
Anyone who bagged Emery after his stint at Arsenal is surely choking on their words now.
This probably looks a boring tip on face value, but I really think that the quote on offer for the draw is overs.
Another interestingly clash, made more interesting by the fact that neither team has been particularly impressive recently.
Spurs have been just awful under their interim manager and with him sensationally dumped this week, surely, the only way is up.
I’m going to take a shot at the upset here, based solely on the fact that sometimes when there’s managerial change, there’s a sharp, short-lived turn in form.
Leicester City are desperate, so are Everton, and the loser of this match will find themselves in an even worse position.
The Foxes returned to winning form last weekend before salvaging a draw with Leeds, midweek. Every point is vital, but wins are certainly necessary.
The situation has been and is very similar for the Toffees, but I’m going to side with Souttar and co. once more!
I actually cannot believe the implosion that has taken place at The Emirates.
Well, I can, but it’s incredible how fast and thoroughly in the morning.
A third-consecutive draw last weekend was compounded by a big loss to their only real threat, Manchester City midweek, and they’re no longer favourites to take it all out.
Chelsea always rise against their bigger London rivals, and I think this is going to result in the Gunners dropping even more points.
