Premier League Game Week 30 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 30 Tips & Preview

The Premier League enters Game Week 30 with everything still to play for at both ends of the table.

We’re forced to wait until Monday morning for the match of the round, as the Gunners looking to break a 10-year hoodoo at Anfield and take a step closer to securing Premier League glory.

Elsewhere, Everton travels to Old Trafford, Tottenham host Brighton, and Man City raid St Mary’s.

Our VAR Virtuoso has previewed all 10 Premier League fixtures across the weekend, providing his best betting plays below!

MAN UTD VS EVERTON
Man Utd and Under 3.5 Goals $2.25

Manchester United play their 2nd game in three days when they host the Toffees in the early kickoff on Saturday.

You have to travel back to 2013 to find Everton’s last victory at Old Trafford, a game they won 1-0 and in which David Moyes was at the helm for Man U!

Since then, the Red Devils have gone 11 games without defeat (6W,5D) at home to Everton across all comps, with an aggregate of 22-9.

Despite improvement under Dyche, Everton is still struggling on the road, their one away win is a league-low alongside both West Ham and Nottingham.

I’m backing Man U to continue their streak of impressive home performances, taking all three points in a low-scoring affair.

WOLVES VS CHELSEA
Chelsea $1.95

The Blues have been liberated from the rule of Potter and will be looking to make a late dash for European qualification.

They’ll be taking on a Wolves outfit sitting just two points above the drop zone (at publish) and scrapping tooth and nail for top-flight survival.

The Blues won the reverse fixture 3-0, with goals from Havertz, Pulisic, and the now-injured Borja, a performance their fans would love to see replicated.

Chelsea has far too much talent in their ranks to drop points against relegation-threatened clubs, with a new man at the helm, I believe a weight will be lifted, shackles broken and belief revived!

TOTTENHAM VS BRIGHTON
Brighton $2.75

Conte may be gone, but Tottenham is still the same old Tottenham, drawing 1-1 to Everton last week, in a game in which they were thoroughly outplayed.

They’ll take on a Brighton side looking to push for a top-four finish, a side who has only lost three games on the road this season (5W,4D), with only Newcastle (2) and Arsenal (2) boasting fewer defeats.

Despite the dysfunction and distress under Conte, I believe the Spurs have largely overachieved this season and can only see them sliding down the table from here on out.

FULHAM VS WEST HAM
Draw $3.10

The battle of the HAM!

Fulham has finally awoken from their dream start to the 2022/23 season, losing three straight league fixtures and plummeting toward the bottom half of the table.

They’ll face a Hammers unit who are on the up, winning twice across their last four league starts (1D,1L), pulling clear of the drop zone for the time being.

The Cottagers will enter this fixture without the services of their top scorer Mitrovic, who is still serving a suspension for placing his hands on a ref.

Despite a couple of recent results, the Hammers are still god-awful away from home, winning just once across 13 attempts.

I can see this turning into a scrappy affair, with both sides ultimately happy to come away with a point.

LEICESTER VS BOURNEMOUTH
Bournemouth $4.60

The Cherries travel to King Power Stadium to take on the Foxes in a “loser leaves the league” type contest.

One competition point across six fixtures (at publish) has seen Brendan Rodgers lose his job and Leicester freefall from 13th to 19th in the league.

Alternatively, the Cherries have a renewed hope of survival after claiming nine points across the same trip, with wins against Wolverhampton, Liverpool, and Fulham.

Leicester has the 2nd worst home record in the league, with just three wins from 13 fixtures (3D,7L), an area they’ll need to turn around if they harbor any desires for survival.

The Bookies must be under the impression that the Foxes will enjoy a ‘new manager boast’, I don’t hold the same belief, and am happy to cash in on the Cherries at long odds.

ASTON VILLA VS NOTTM FOREST
Aston Villa and Over 1.5 Goals $2.05

Villa is out to extend a run of five games without defeat (4W,1D), a stretch which included four victories accompanied by a clean sheet.

They’ll lock horns against a Forest side who are winless in seven league games (3D,4L) and sitting just one point above the drop zone.

Seven of Villa’s last eight games have seen over 1.5 goals scored, and I’m backing them to knock a few more past Forest this weekend.

BRENTFORD VS NEWCASTLE
Newcastle $2.15

The Toon are up and about!

A three-game winning streak (at publish) has seen Newcastle leap back into 3rd place on the ladder with games in hand over the chasing pack.

They’ll face Brentford in London, a side they saw off in stunning fashion back in game week 9, running out 5-1 victors.

Alternatively, the Bees are winless in three (2D,1L), dropping points to Everton, Leicester, and Brighton.

I’m backing the Magpies to swoop on all three points here, leaving the Bees just hanging inside the top 10.

SOUTHAMPTON VS MAN CITY
Man City (-2) $2.90

The Saints are marching to the championship.

Man City will be looking to pile the pressure on Arsenal at the top of the league with another dominating performance at St. Mary’s.

Pep’s side enters this fixture off the back of humbling Liverpool 4-1 without the services of Golden Boot leader Erling Haaland (28 Goals).

The Citizens have won their last seven fixtures across all comps with an aggregate of 27-2!

The Saints can take solace from the fact that they knocked City out of the EFL Cup 2-0, though I can’t see lighting striking St Mary’s twice here.

I’m taking City to pile on 3+ goals here, leaving the Saints with one foot in the Championship.

LEEDS VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace $3.45

The Ghost of Roy Hodgson has lifted the Eagles to their first win in 13 fixtures (5D,8L) across all comps.

Roy will try to make it two from two when his side travels to Elland Rd to take on a Leeds outfit sitting in 18th following a conclusive 4-1 defeat to the Gunners.

Palace snuck home as 2-1 victors the last time this pair met, a result I can see them replicating against a severely depleted Leeds squad here.

LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL
Arsenal $2.60

Game Week 30 comes to a close with an absolute belter between Liverpool and Arsenal.

Believe it or not, it’s the 10th anniversary (+/- month) of the Gunners’ last victory at Anfield, a match decided by an injury-time winner from Robin van Persie!

Since then, the Reds claimed seven wins and two draws on their home deck against the current league leaders, outscoring the Gunners 15 goals to 3 across the four most recent outings.

History aside, Arsenal has leveled up considerably this season, while the Reds have dropped off a cliff.

The Gunners are playing with far too much style, confidence, and discipline for this stuttering Liverpool outfit to handle.
