Premier League Game Week 29 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 29 Tips & Preview

The Premier League enters the final ten match days, with everything still left to play for!

City’s title chase is put to the test in the opening fixture of the round as they prepare to host fierce rivals, Liverpool.

While elsewhere, Arsenal attempts to take another small step towards glory with a victory at home to Leeds, Chelsea welcomes Villa to the Bridge, Man U go behind enemy lines to take on the Toon, and the Spurs begin life without Conte at Goodison Park.

The Premier League Prophet has previewed all ten Game Week 29 fixtures and provided his best betting plays below!

MAN CITY VS LIVERPOOL
Over 3.5 Total Goals $2.50

We don’t have to wait long for the match of the round, two of England’s best sides over the past five years are set to scrap it out at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City hopes to close the gap between themselves and league leaders Arsenal to 5 points with their fourth straight PL victory and 2nd straight win against the Reds in all comps.

Meanwhile, Liverpool looks to bounce back from their stunning defeat to relegation favourites Bournemouth last time out, and edge closer to UCL qualification.

Despite losing their most recent meeting with City, the Reds enjoyed victories in the pair’s previous three outings across all comps.

This fixture has not been short on goals in the recent past, with eight of the last ten meetings seeing a stagging 4+ goals scored!

With the likes of Haaland and Salah occupying the same field, I’m backing the scorekeepers to have another busy night here.

NOTTM FOREST VS WOLVES
Draw $3.00

After a massive start to the round, we take things down a notch… or six, with a fixture between relegation-threatened pair Notts Forest and Wolverhampton.

Both sides enter this fixture attempting to avoid three straight league defeats and pull clear of the dreaded drop zone.

Forest will be leaning on their home crowd to get them over the line, Steve Cooper’s side has lost just four of their 14 fixtures at the City Ground (5W,5D).

Neither team warrants backing outright here, and although the Wolves have a more talented squad, I can see them having a rough time of it on the road.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS LEICESTER
Under 1.5 Total Goals $2.95

Palace has wheeled Roy Hodgson out of his aged care facility in an attempt to save their failing season.

They’ll line up against another underachieving outfit in Leicester, a side who are just one competition point above the drop zone despite having an extremely talented squad.

This pair played out a dull 0-0 draw earlier in the season, a result both sides would probably take in this situation.

I think Roy will be looking to sure up the Eagles’ defense before addressing their lack of offensive impetus, as such I’m backing another low-scoring affair to materialise here.

BOURNEMOUTH VS FULHAM
Bournemouth $2.50

Fulham has finally awoken from their dream start to the season, collecting just one point from their last three starts, seeing them drop from 6th to 9th on the table.

Meanwhile, the Cherries have shown life in what was thought to be a dead season, winning two of their last five league fixtures (3L), while pushing the Gunners to the brink of defeat in a wild 3-2 result at the Emirates.

Bournemouth has been dealt a huge leg up for this fixture, with both Willian and Mitrovic ineligible for the Cottagers through suspension.

I think the Cherries will throw the kitchen sink at this game, and I’m backing them to leap clear of the drop zone with a home victory.

ARSENAL VS LEEDS
Arsenal to Win & Saka to Score $2.58

The Gunners have ten games to see off before they can lay claim to their first league title since 2003/4!

The first step of the final leg of their journey begins at the Emirates this weekend where they play host to a Leeds outfit searching for back-to-back league victories.

The Gunners bettered the Whites 1-0 earlier in the season, with teen sensation Bukayo Saka netting the winner on that occasion, the winger enters this fixture in red-hot form, scoring three goals and putting on two assists across his last three games for club and country!

I’m backing the Gunners to get the job done here with relative ease, combined with a goal from Saka.

BRIGHTON VS BRENTFORD
Brighton Win & Under 4.5 Goals $1.92

Two of the PL’s biggest overachievers are set to meet on the pitch at Amex Stadium this weekend, as both Brighton and Brentford push for a spot inside the top six.

The Seagulls will be feeling plucky here, after losing just once over their last 13 starts across all comps (9W,3D), while winning their last three home fixtures to nil.

Similarly, the Bees have lost just twice across their last 14 games in all comps (6W,6D), though they’ve recently dropped points to the likes of Leicester (D), Everton (L), and Crystal Palace (D).

I’m backing Brighton to build on their strong defensive form at home, claiming all three competition points in a low-scoring affair.

CHELSEA VS ASTON VILLA
Chelsea to Win & Both Teams to Score $3.60

The Blues look to continue their dominance over Villa when the pair meet at the Bridge on Sunday morning (AEST).

Chelsea has won nine of the pair’s last 11 league fixtures (1D,1L), while last losing at the Bridge to Villa way back in 2011!

Graham Potter seems to have turned the ship around at Chelsea, going undefeated across their last four matches across all comps (3W,1D).

I’m backing the Blues to get up at home, though not without conceding to a Villa side in decent scoring form.

WEST HAM VS SOUTHAMPTON
Southampton $5.00

Next up, the Hammers take on the Saints in a fixture that could have huge ramifications on the race for survival.

West Ham currently resides in 18th place, one point clear of Southampton at the foot of the table and one point shy of Leicester and safety.

The Hammers head into this fixture as short-odd favourites, despite winning just one of their previous six league games (3D,2L).

Surprisingly, the Saints have been far better away than in Southampton this season, with four of their six league wins coming on the road.

I don’t rate the Hammers one iota, both teams are bad enough to lose this fixture, as such I feel more comfortable taking the value on offer with the Saints.

NEWCASTLE VS MAN UTD
Man Utd $2.90

Newcastle hopes to better Man U for the third time asking this season, after playing out a goalless draw in GW10, before losing 2-0 in the EFL Cup final a month ago.

The Toon are winless in their last six league meetings with Man United (2D, 4L), a record they will need to snap if they harbor any desire to finish inside the top four.

The international break came at a perfect time for the Red Devils, whose squad had played six fixtures across the first three weeks of February (4W,1D,1L).

I’m backing Man U to pull six points clear of the Magpies, with a comprehensive victory away at St. James Park.

EVERTON VS TOTTENHAM
Both Teams to Score (No) $1.87

Game Week 29 comes to a close on Tuesday morning (AEST) as Tottenham commences life post-Conte with a trip to Goodison Park.

Incredibly, the Spurs have lost just once across their last 20 league meetings against the Toffees (10W,9D), and are unbeaten in their last nine games at Goodison (3W,6D).

Both teams scored in just one of the past six PL matchups between this pair, with Tottenham claiming four clean sheets across that trip.

The Toffees’ defense has looked much improved under the watchful eye of Sean Dyche, keeping three clean sheets across their last four home fixtures.

It’s hard to predict what type of response we’re going to get from Tottenham here, but I think it’s fair to assume both sides will be looking to batten down the hatches and snatch a low-scoring victory.
