Coffs Harbour: Race 1 (1:10pm AEDT)
No. 7 Twosret

Twosret takes winning form into the first at Coffs Harbour today and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

The American Pharoah mare finished down the order at Grafton in her first start for Samantha McGuren and was immediately tipped out, and that decision was franked when she returned for a smart win in Maiden company earlier this month.

With natural improvement, this looks the next logical step for her.

Coffs Harbour: Race 7 (4:50pm AEDT)
No. 3 Acoustix

Acoustix has been a consistent performer this time in and strikes another winnable race at Coffs Harbour this afternoon.

The Snitzel gelding recorded an impressive win in the Walcha Cup two starts back, and he was unlucky to just be pipped late at Taree last time out.

He can go straight to the lead today from Barrier 5, control the race and will be in it for a long way.

Scone: Race 7 (5:10pm AEDT)
No. 4 Talbragar

I’m with Talbragar in this afternoon’s Country Championships Qualifier at Scone.

Talbragar has recorded four wins from his five career starts to date, and returned an easy winner at Tamworth earlier this month.

He will need some luck in running after drawing wide, but I think that his class edge will take him a long way towards winning.

Coffs Harbour: Race 8 (5:30pm AEDT)
No. 10 Empress Zou

Empress Zou takes winning form into the last at Coffs Harbour today and looks well placed to make it two in a row.

The daughter of Zoustar didn’t set the world on fire during her debut campaign, but she did kick off this one in the best way possible, comfortably winning at Taree.

This is slightly harder, but any improvement on her resuming effort would see her into the finish again.
