Raise Hell takes winning form into the first at Goulburn today and looks well placed to make it two in a row.
The Hellbent gelding has missed placing once in four starts for the Danny Williams yard, and he returned with a lovely effort to strike over this route last week.
Any improvement, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.
Flying Destiny is yet to return a poor performance, and this looms as another very winnable race.
Flying Destiny stamped himself as one to watch by winning on debut at Kembla Grange in January, and he has since placed in a couple of Class 1 races at Hawkesbury.
There doesn’t look to be a whole lot of depth in this race, and this bloke can capitalise.
Ninja Star has been knocking on the door of a race win since resuming, and she gets her chance this afternoon at Goulburn.
The Maurice mare only just missed in races at Tuncurry and Newcastle second and third-up respectively, while she was last seen filling the minors over a mile here at Goulburn.
She steps out today in peak order and might not be offered a better opportunity.
Keith Dryden is no stranger to the Country Championships, and he saddles a live chance in today’s Qualifier with Eastern Glow.
Eastern Glow was luckless in the Moruya Qualifier last time out, but his form prior to that race was nothing short of excellent, and included four wins and two minors from six starts.
He’ll take further improvement into this race, the booking of Jeff Penza is confidence-boosting, and we can have an each way play at current odds ($11 at publish).
