Premier League Game Week 24 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 24 Tips & Preview

The Premier League action continues this weekend with all 20 teams in action!

League leaders Arsenal get proceedings underway when they take on Aston Villa away, while both Manchester outfits will be looking to recover from quick European turnarounds as they attempt to stay in the Premiership race.

As always, we’ve previewed all 10 Premier League fixtures and provided our best betting plays below!

ARSENAL VS MAN CITY (GW12)
Man City $2.38

The Gunners prepare for a huge acid test on their bid for title glory when they host the current camps and their closest contender Manchester City!

Arteta will be looking to claim his first-ever win against his former master, after losing five straight fixtures to City across all comps.

City has dominated this fixture for some time now, winning the last 10 Premier League meetings with Arsenal with an aggregate score of 26-3!!!

The Gunners’ form has dipped recently, failing to secure a win in back-to-back fixtures for the first time this season (1D,1L).

I’m backing the Citizens to peg back three points in the total race, with the young Gunners beginning to waiver.

ASTON VILLA VS ARSENAL
Arsenal to Win & Over 2.5 Goals $2.70

The Gunners are back in action just 2.5 days after their massive fixture against City when they travel to Villa Park.

No European duties and failure in both domestic Cups have allowed Arteta to name a largely unchanged starting XI week in, week out, this luxury will be put to the test with a short turnaround.

Despite this, Arsenal has plenty of depth to call upon, with the likes of new signings Trossard and Jorginho waiting in the wings.

The Gunners have won their last three PL meetings with Villa, and hold the best away record in the league this season (8W,1D,2L).

I’m backing the league leaders to continue their dominance over the Villans, claiming a win in a high-scoring fixture.

NOTTM FOREST VS MAN CITY
Man City (-2) $3.20

Unlike the Gunners, City is accustomed to quick turnarounds and should not have an issue fielding a winning outfit against Notts Forest.

The Citizens destroyed Forest 6-0 earlier in the season, with Haaland banging in a first-half hattrick, while Alvarez chimed in with two goals of his own.

Although Forest has improved in leaps and bounds since that defeat, they still can’t hold a flame to the powerhouse that is Man City.

City seems to have the bit between their teeth at the moment, I’m backing Pep’s side to run away with this fixture, winning by 3+ goals.

BRIGHTON VS FULHAM
Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Total Goals $2.12

6th plays 7th as two of the Premier League’s biggest overachievers take to the field at Amex Stadium.

Brighton is looking to extend their five-game undefeated run in the league (3W,2D) and push to within two competition points of the top four.

Meanwhile, the Cottagers are out to claim their sixth win in 10 attempts (5W,1D,2L) and their 2nd victory against the Seagulls this season.

Nine of Brighton’s last 11 league fixtures have seen both sides score, while no side has been involved in more games where 3+ goals have been scored than Fulham (16 Overs, 7 Unders).

Naturally, I am backing both to score here combined with the Overs to salute.

BRENTFORD VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Draw $3.30

Brentford plays host to Crystal Palace in a London Derby.

These pair have met three times in the Premier League, with every fixture resulting in a draw.

The Bees are attempting to extend an incredible 10-game undefeated run in the league (5W,5D), a run which has seen them take points off Man City, Tottenham, Liverpool, and most recently Arsenal!

Meanwhile, the Eagles have gone six games without a victory (3D,3L), though they’ve managed to wrest;e points away from Man U, Newcastle, and Brighton across that trip.

Brentford has been involved in 10 draws this season, with only Newcastle boasting more (12), I’m backing the Bees to draw level with the Toon this week with a fourth straight stalemate against the Eagles!

CHELSEA VS SOUTHAMPTON
Chelsea to Win to Nil $2.05

The Saints have been flatlining at the bottom of the league since game week 16, so it comes as no surprise that they’ve parted ways with the manager, Nathan Jones.

Speaking of managers under pressure, Graham Potter has led the Blues to just one victory in seven league fixtures (4D,2L) despite spending $300m+ in the January transfer window.

One thing Potter has been able to do is sure up Chelsea’s defense, with the Blues keeping three clean sheets across their last four games.

As bad as the Blues have been, the Saints have been worse, I’m backing the home side to win this one to nil.

EVERTON VS LEEDS
Draw $3.20

Two sides who know a thing or two about sacking a manager, are Everton and Leeds, both of whom are caught up in the fight for PL survival.

Leeds have drawn four of their last seven PL fixtures and sit just one point above Everton and the drop zone in 17th place.

Meanwhile, the Toffees have only craved out two results across their last nine games, though those results were a draw against City and a victory versus Arsenal!

Recently, Leeds’ form has been slightly better than that of the Toffees, though there is no doubt that Sean Dyche will be looking to drain this fixture of any and all excitement.

I’m backing an arm wrestle here, with both sides ultimately settling for a draw.

WOLVES VS BOURNEMOUTH
Wolves (-1) $2.90

One team which has taken well to a change in manager has been the Wolves.

Wolverhampton has exploded clear of the drop zone with three wins from their last four league fixtures (1L), and will be looking to leapfrog several more clubs with a victory over a struggling Cherries outfit.

Alternatively, after a brief spell of overachieving, Bournemouth has dropped to the level most expected them to occupy, 19th.

I’m taking on the Wolves to win by 2+ goals here.

NEWCASTLE VS LIVERPOOL
Liverpool to Win $2.72

Incredibly, the Toons have only lost one game this season, the L was handed to them late in injury time against none other than Liverpool.

Since that defeat, Newcastle has gone 17 games without defeat (9W,8D), though a run of five draws across their last six starts has put their top four ambitions on shaky foundations.

Alternatively, the Reds have gone on to lose six fixtures since bettering the Toon, winning just once across their last five starts (1D,3L).

Newcastle’s last victory over the Reds came way back in 2015, and although they are clearly enjoying a better season than the former champs, I can see Liverpool giving them grief here.

Klopp is clearly trying to establish an “us against them” mentality amongst his floundering squad, it has already paid dividends in the Merseyside Derby and I can see it propelling his side to a run of positive results in the backend of the season.

MAN UTD VS LEICESTER
Leicester $5.20

Leicester is looking to win three straight fixtures in the league for the first time this season after smacking four goals past both Aston Villa and Tottenham.

In order to do so, they’ll have to better a UInited side that hasn’t lost at Old Trafford since game week 1!

Marcus Rashford may very well be the form striker in Europe at the moment, but he hasn’t been forced to face the defensive prowess of Harry Souter!

At $1.57, Manchester United at far too short in the H2H market, especially considering their most pivotal player, Casemiro is out through suspension.

United has played four more matches than Leicester over the past three weeks, with Ten Hags side coming off a quick Europa league turnaround I’m backing the Foxes to pull off a snatch-and-grab.

TOTTENHAM VS WEST HAM
Both Teams to Score & Harry Kane Anytime $2.60

Game week 24  comes to a close on Monday morning (AEST) when Tottenham hosts West Ham in a London Derby.

The Hammers are bidding to go four games without defeat for the first time this season (1W,2D) after escaping fixtures against Newcastle and Chelsea with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, the Spurs have been cycling through wins and losses, drawing just once since GW5 (9W,8L).

Neither side warrants backing in the H2H market, instead I’ll be backing both teams to score and Harry Kane to score his 12th league goal against the Hammers.
