Premier League Game Week 23 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 23 Tips & Preview

We are treated to 10 massive Premier League fixtures this weekend, with several high-stake derbies set to be played out.

The action gets underway in the Captial as West Ham and Chelsea desperately search for form.

Elsewhere, Arsenal reignites their rivalry with Brentford, Kane eyes off a few goals against Leicester and Man U meets Leeds for the 2nd time in under a week.

We’ve previewed every game week 23 fixture and provided our best betting plays below!

WEST HAM VS CHELSEA
Chelsea to Win $2.25

West Ham plays host to Chelsea in a high-stakes London Derby.

The Hammers look to have turned a corner, tasting defeat once across their last six fixtures in all comps (3W,2D), though they are still lingering just one point above Everton in the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, the Blues are on a run of three games without defeat in the league (1W,2D), keeping a clean sheet in each of those fixtures, but only managing one goal despite all the offensive talent at the club.

History is on the visitor’s side here, with Chelsea winning four of their last five fixtures against the Hammers (1L), outscoring their London rivals 9-4 across the trip.

I’m backing the Blues defense to hold tight here, with the likes of Felix, Sterling, Havertz, Mudryk, Noni, and Ziyech finding some sort of avenue to the goal!

LEICESTER VS TOTTENHAM
Over 3.5 Goals & Kane Anytime $3.85

Both Tottenham and Leicester enter this contest off the back of impressive performances in game week 22.

Despite claiming a win against Villa last time out, the Foxes still shipped two goals, adding to the growing concerns surrounding a defensive unit that has conceded 37 times this season, with only Bournemouth (19th) and Southampton (20th) boasting worse defensive records.

One man who will be keen to capitalise on Leicester’s defensive frailties is Harry Kane, the English Captain broke Jimmy Greave’s all-time scoring record for Spurs, netting his 267th club goal to secure a 1-0 victory over Man City last week.

Kane has thrived against the Foxes in the past, scoring a staggering 20 times against the 2016 Champs.

I’m backing the Spur talisman to get on the scoresheet once again in what should be a high-scoring affair.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS BRIGHTON
Brighton $1.95

Brighton looks to continue its logic-defying climb up the PL table with a victory over a Palace outfit still searching for their first win of the calendar year across all comps (2D,4L).

The Seagulls have won five of their last six games across all comps, including two comfortable victories over Liverpool.

The Eagles have looked blunt going forward without Zaha in recent weeks and I can’t see them matching Brighton’s firepower in this fixture.

ARSENAL VS BRENTFORD
Brentford or Draw $2.90

Giant beaters Brentford take on league leaders Arsenal in what should be a heated all-London affair.

There is no love lost between these two sides, with the Gunners holding onto receipts following a cheeky Ivan Toney tweet after the Bees upset Arteta’s side on their return to the PL last season.

Arsenal has lost back-to-back road fixtures against Man City (FA Cup) and Everton (PL) and will be looking forward to returning to the Emirates where they are yet to taste defeat in the league this season (8W,1D).

Incredibly, the Bees have only lost one fixture against the “Big Six” this season (3W,2D,1L), and will be keen to have their say in the 2022/23 title race.

I’m backing the Bees to sting a vulnerable Gunners squad here, picking up at least one point against the league leaders.

SOUTHAMPTON VS WOLVES
Wolves to Win $2.55

The Saints and the Wolves square off in a fixture that could prove pivotal in the race for Premier League survival.

Southampton is currently sitting dead last on the table, after losing nine of their last ten PL fixtures (1W).

Wolverhampton is just five points ahead in 15th place, though three wins from their last six league fixtures (1D,2L) have them trending in the right direction.

I’m backing the Wolves to build on their 3-0 victory against the Reds last time out with another solid performance against a very green Southampton unit.

FULHAM VS NOTTM FOREST
Fulham and Under 3.5 Goals $2.63

Two overperforming, newly promoted sides are set to meet in the capital when Fulham plays host to Notts Forest.

The Cottagers have been one of the biggest success stories of the season to date, currently sitting in 8th place, a couple of points clear of both Liverpool and Chelsea!

Both sides are in decent nick here, but Fulham’s resolute defensive unit and boisterous home fans give them the edge here.

BOURNEMOUTH VS NEWCASTLE
Newcastle to Win & Wilson to Score Anytime $2.67

The Toon look to extend their unbeaten run in the league to a jaw-dropping 17 games when they travel to Vitality Stadium.

They’ll be taking on a Cherries outfit who have lost seven of their last eight fixtures across all comps (1D), scoring just three goals.

It’s hard to see anything but a Toon win here, I’m backing Callum Wilson to score in back-to-back fixtures on the way to his side collecting all three points.

LEEDS VS MAN UTD
Man Utd $1.91

Leeds and Man U face off for the 2nd time this week after playing out an action-packed 2-2 draw last time.

United came back from 2-0 down at the beginning of the 2nd half, with Rashford and Sancho scoring.

The new manager bounce undoubtedly helped Leeds snare a point mid-week, I can’t see them repeating that feat against a side of United’s quality and self-belief.

MAN CITY VS ASTON VILLA
City to Win & Both Team to Score $2.88

Manchester City is drowning in headlines at the moment, with the Abu Dhabi owned club faced with serious charges of cheating by the FA.

On the field Pep’s side hasn’t been fairing much better, dropping points in three of their last six league fixtures (3W,1D,2L).

Both teams to score has hit in the last four league fixtures between this pair, with City going undefeated across that trip (3W,1D).

I’m backing the Citizens to respond viciously to all the noise, putting multiple goals past Villa on their way to victory.

LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON
Everton $6.00

Game Week 23 is wrapped up with a Merseyside Derby, possibly the biggest derby for both Liverpool and Everton for some time.

Klopp’s side hasn’t tasted EPL victory this calendar year (1D,3L), with their solitary point coming from an underwhelming 0-0 showdown with Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Sean Dyche is out to prove that last week’s 1-0 victory over league-leaders Arsenal was no fluke.

This Liverpool side is currently operating with less belief than a pessimistic atheist, I can’t see them going into this battle with enough fire in their bellies to come away with a result.
