Kicking off my night at The Meadows with one that looks a really nice bit of value – New South Wales raider Canya Smoke Them.
Canya Smoke Them has plenty of talent and has etched our a nice record north of the border, and his recent form has been typically competitive, finding form around some above-average chasers.
I like that he brings a unique form line into this contest and he maps to take a position on the pace tonight.
Ruff Shot can go straight to the lead from Box 1 and control Race 5 at The Meadows tonight.
The speedy son of Zambora Brockie returned to winning form over 600m here three runs back, and while he was never in the contest at Sandown Park a fortnight ago after drawing wide, he responded with a stunning performance in fast time here last week.
If he steps well, I think that he will simply prove too difficult to catch.
As far as tough greyhounds are concerned, there aren’t many that beat out the talented Zippy Tesla, and he represents a bit of value in The Phoenix!
Zippy Tesla has amassed an impressive record throughout his 51-start career, winning sixteen times, placing a further twenty-one times and finding form around superstars of the Australian chasing ranks.
Is he a last start winner? Yes. Is he up to something like this? Absolutely.
I’m concluding The Phoenix Night with a Same Race Multi in the penultimate race.
Anchor Rope has gone to another level recently and will take a power of beating, and I’m pumping up my odds with a couple of other selections as well!
Our Same Race Multi selections are:
- 2 Anchor Rope (Win)
- 7 Trending Zari (Top 3)
- 6 Federal Outlaw (Top 4)
