Merry Christmas Punters! The NFL is the gift that keeps on giving and we are set for some Christmas Day action to make your Christmas morning that extra little bit special! There are some huge matchups going down on the 25th including an NFC East battle that could see the Eagles wrap up the division.
There’s also some huge games on Boxing Day to see you through before the Cricket starts, Dolphins v Packers at 4am is my suggestion for you early risers, but I recommend flicking over to literally anything else before the Broncos v Rams game begins.
It’s going to be hard to top the action we saw last week but the great thing about the NFL is just how unpredictable it really is! Not many weeks now till play offs!
Here is my preview for Week 16 of the NFL.
Check out the nonsense we get up to to on the Neds NFL Punting Podcast too, there is a link to that below!

At first glance you’d think this isn’t a very exciting TNF matchup but I’m looking forward to this one a lot!
The Jags have pinched a couple wins off decent teams in the last few weeks and we all know the Jets have actually been a football team this year.
Jacksonville are a huge chance of being AFC South champs (I wonder who tipped that at the start of the year, maybe a real smart and handsome Neds NFL Tipster) and a win against the Jets would go a long way for them to secure that.
While I wasn’t on the podcast this week (Thanks Covid) it looks like the boys and I were all in agreeance that the Jaguars could get the chocolates here.
Trevor Lawrence 225+ Pass Yards & 2+ Pass TDs, Zay Jones Anytime TD, Over 37.5 Total Points seems really likely in my opinion, TLaw has been really clicking in this offense recently.
Who’s even on the Panthers roster anymore?
I honestly could not tell you, that’s why I was so surprised that the points line against Detroit was so low.
The Lions are another one of those teams that are hitting form at the right time this season and could find themselves in the playoffs as well.
I think they should crush the Panthers here.
Anytime TD Tip: Amon Ra St Brown
The Vikings have one of the best offenses in the league and when I say offenses… I mean they have Justin Jefferson.
They now own the largest comeback in NFL history but they really need to tighten up on defence if they want to be taken seriously come the playoffs.
They have an opportunity to beat up the Giants here and if they don’t, I don’t believe they will be serious SB contenders.
The Giants got very lucky last week against the Commanders and will need to feed their WRs if they want to stay in this game.
Anytime TD Tip: Justin Jefferson
Bengals -3 has been very profitable for me this year and I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t hit again here against a Pats team that have surely put their cue in the rack for the year.
The Bengals have six wins in a row and have the opportunity to win the AFC North this week, I’m expecting my MVP Tip Mr Joe Burrow to once again put on another football clinic and show the league once again why they should be scared of him come playoff time.
Bengals -3 all day!
Anytime TD Tip: Joe Mixon
I pumped his tyres up pretty heavily last week but Desmond Ridder left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.
It was his debut and he wasn’t a high draft pick but he should improve on that performance especially against the Ravens who I think could also be done for the year. They looked like a shell of themselves last week against the Browns.
This won’t be a game I’m keen to watch but I do like the Falcons’ chances. I’m on them to cover.
Anytime TD Tip: Drake London
I think Seattle are done for the year.
They’ve been really fun and I’ve loved the resurgence of Geno Smith but I reckon they’ve run out of gas.
Mahomes and the Chiefs haven’t been blowing teams off the park in recent weeks but I honestly believe that they’re that good of a team that they are using these games as centre wicket practice to test things out for the playoffs.
I think they’ll do that this week and destroy Seattle.
Anytime TD Tip: Jerick McKinnon
Let me list some stats for you here.
Derrick Henry vs the Texans since 29/12/2019 is averaging 30 Carries per game, 223 Yards per game and 2.25 Touchdowns Per Game.
He is the first RB in history to rush for 150+ yds and 2 TDs in four straight games against the same opponent.
I’m getting on every single overs market that we have to offer for King Henry. He owns the Texans.
I honestly don’t care about anything else in this game, I just want to see Henry feast.
Anytime TD Tip: Who do you think I’m backing?
I really don’t want to write anything about this game.
Both of these teams make me really sad this year.
I’m not spending too much time on this one.
Browns to cover.
Anytime TD Tip: Nick Chubb
The 3-11 Bears take on the 11-3 Bills and I really don’t think the Bears will show up for this game.
Fields is having a very good second half of the season and I hope the Bears can build around him next season
They currently have the second overall pick and should just take the best player available, they need everything!
Bills 14+
Anytime TD Tip: Stefon Diggs
The 49ers are on a 7 game win streak, have a Mr Irrelevant at QB and they look red hot!
It’s a true testament to how well they’ve put together that roster there is talent all over that park that really compliments eachother.
They’re taking on a Commanders side who a lot of people believe they were robbed last week by some very controversial referee decisions.
I honestly don’t think the Commanders have a chance against the 9ers, they are a much improved squad this year but I think their season is done.
49ers to cover.
Anytime TD Tip: Brandon Ayiuk
What a dissapointing NFC East battle this has ended up to be.
Football fans have had this marked on their calendar for weeks now and Jalen Hurts just had to go and get injured.
The market has reacted too. The Eagles are $2.75 underdogs and the line is set at 5 points.
It’s hard to disagree though, Hurts has been huge this year and may even struggle to get the MVP nod if he misses the last few games (Eagles QB and MVP frontrunner till suffering a bad injury in the backend of the year? I’ve seen this movie before)
I love Gardner Minshew but the Cowboys should be far too good here.
Anytime TD Tip: Ceedee Lamb
Kenny Pickett looks like he should be back for the Steelers which is bad news for the Raiders.
They got lucky last week thanks to a Pats brain fart but I think this Steelers side should be too good for them.
This game kicks off 11:15AM QLD Time so you can have it on over Christmas lunch.
Anytime TD Tip: George Pickens
The Packers are on a bit of a rip and tear at the moment.
They’re going to need a bit of luck from here to get into the playoffs but never say never.
I am however saying never, I believe the Dolphins will be head and shoulders better than the Packers in this one.
Packers have looked like themselves in the last few weeks but I don’t see them stopping Tua, Tyreek and Waddle.
Anytime TD Tip: Tyreek Hill
Why would you ever consider watching this game let alone read a preview looking for tips for it?
This game is going to be the worst, DO NOT BOTHER.
Rams H2H though
Anytime TD Tip: Cam Akers
The Buccs are more than likely going to Bradbury their way into a playoff spot but wowee they don’t deserve it.
They should not lose to the Cards but honestly I cannot tell what version of the Buccs are going to run out every week.
A lack of Kyler Murray should help but I really have no clue how this will play out.
Anytime TD Tip: Cade Otton
Wrapping up the round on MNF is the Colts taking on Justin Herbert and the Chargers.
The Colts are another washed up team this year. Jonathan Taylor is officially done for the year and I think that marks the end for Indianapolis.
This will be a proper test for LA though. If they want a chance at going deep in the playoffs. They need to torch this team.
Anytime TD Tip: Mike Williams
