We’re officially halfway through another NFL Season. Touchdowns have been thrown, big hits have been given out and many an ACL has been torn already.
To say there is a bit going on this week would be quite an understatement. The Buccaneers and Seahawks go at it in Germany on Sunday night (12:30AM Monday Brisbane Time) keep your eyes peeled on Josh Allen news, there’s every chance he’s ruled out with an elbow injury which would be huge for the Vikings.
Here is my preview for Week 10 of the NFL.
There’s plenty of action each week on the Neds NFL Punting Podcast too, check that out below!
This is truly a rough game to punt on.
The Panthers were really bad with PJ Walker under centre last week. He threw for 9 Yards and 2 Interceptions before being benched for Baker Mayfield. Baker played incredibly well but PJ Walker is apparently starting on TNF this week.
The Falcons have looked better than I thought this year but I wouldn’t call them good at all.
We landed on ATL to be up at Halftime, ATL to cover, Drake London and Cordarelle Patterson to score TDs. Given that the Panthers gave up 5 TDs to a Running Back last week, I reckon this could be on.
Anytime TD Tip: Cordarelle Patterson
Tampa got a W last week! Hooray!
Does that mean they’re back to competing for a Super Bowl? I really don’t know.
The Buccs have 0 excuses to be bad this year, if you were simming a season with them on Madden, they’d be a 12 win team but for some reason, it’s just not happening this year.
It’s going to be a slog this week against the Seahawks who are the highest scoring team in the NFC. Throw in a long haul flight to Munich and anything could truly happen.
Seattle to win is value here and it’s hard to look past, I can see the Buccaneers struggling to contain Geno and his array of weapons.
Anytime TD Tip: DK Metcalf (Only because I can’t say Ken Walker every week… Or can I?)
Far out, I do not care about this game.
Ryan Tannehill, Malik Willis… It doesn’t matter who the Titans trot out in this game the Broncs secondary is going to eat them alive.
Yes Derrick Henry is an absolute world beater and cannot be stopped at the moment but is that truly enough to win football games consistently?
Despite how bad the Broncos O has been this year I think they have a huge chance to win this game, especially with how good their defence has been recently.
The only reason I’d be waking up early for this game is if I had Derrick Henry in my fantasy team, but I don’t so I will be checking the score in the morning and moving on.
Broncos to cover.
Anytime TD Tip: Derrick Henry
The Dolphins have won 3 in a row since Tua Tagovailoa has returned from those sickening injuries he copped and just quietly, they have been such a fun team to watch.
The AFC East is one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL this year with three teams all sitting on 6 wins.
The AFC North however hasn’t been as competitive as I expected this year and the 3-5 Browns will look to keep their season alive for a few more weeks until he-who-must-not-be-named returns from suspension.
Waddle and Hill have been incredible for the Dolphins this year and are both top 5 fantasy WRs this year, crazy I know.
I think the Dolphins should win this one but The Browns have enough fire power to keep it close.
Anytime TD Tip: Tyreek Hill
Wow there’s some bad matchups this week.
The Bears might have turned a corner in the last few weeks with Justin Fields.
His game in Week 9 broke the record for most rushing yards by a QB ever.
Good on him but is that really what you need from your QB? Probably not.
The Lions look just as bad this year and I think The Bears just have a bit more firepower here.
I’ll take the Bears to cover and I will move on with my life.
Anytime TD Tip: Cole Kmet
If you believe in the multiverse like I do, there is a universe where this is the Super Bowl matchup this year.
Last week however, we saw that Buffalo are well and truly beatable. Combine that with a potentially injured Josh Allen and I am all in on the Vikings.
The Vikes opened at $3.50 yesterday and are already into $2.55. Run don’t walk to get on them, especially if Allen is out.
Even if Allen is playing, the Vikings look really, really, really good this year and should go deep into the playoffs.
Anytime TD Tip: TJ Hockenson
The Jags will have to work real hard in this one if they want to make it two wins in a row.
Kansas just keep on rolling and are starting to look like my Super Bowl favourites, Mahomes for MVP too.
His production has not dropped at all after losing Tyreek Hill, he is currently leading the league in Pass Yards and Pass TDs.
I’m predicting a pretty savage beatdown in this one. The Jags aren’t as bad as their record says but the Chiefs will just be far too good.
Anytime TD Tip: Isaiah Pacheco
Fresh off a bye week.
Danny Dimes and the Giants take on the factory of sadness that is the Texans in a game that they are actually favourites in!
Outside of rookie RB Dameon Pierce, the Texans have absolutely nothing and the Giants should win this one comfortably.
Not to mention Saquon has had a week off and will be ready to put on a show!
Anytime TD Tip: Saquon Barkley
Two teams that have been struggling this year will go at it in the last game of the morning session.
The Steelers are coming off a bye week that I think will give them the slight edge against the Saints who looked like $#@^ on MNF.
The Steelers have a heap of young talent. Pickett, Pickens & Jaylen Warren are some of the rookies that I get the feeling they’ve spent the week off scheming around and I’m thinking we could see a completely new Steelers offense with all these new pieces they’ve picked up this year.
Anytime TD Tip: George Pickens!!!!!!!!!!!
The Disappointment Bowl.
Both of these teams had huge expectations on them at the start of the year and neither of them have lived up to the hype.
This will be Coach Saturday’s first game at the helm for the Colts and their is every chance that this is Coach McDaniels last game for the Raiders.
It’s a really hard game to tip but I’m going to take the Colts at the line, it truly could go either way and I prefer the Colts with that head start.
Anytime TD Tip: Josh Jacobs
Speaking of two teams with huge expectations that haven’t lived up to the hype this season.
Super Bowl Champs the Rams take on Kyler and the Cards in a game that would be very exciting on Madden but this year probably won’t live up to the hype.
Matt Stafford is currently in concussion protocol and for that reason I’m leaning with the Cardinals, I think there is every chance that they start to turn things around.
Anytime TD Tip: James Conner
Green Bay are DONE.
They are not the team we have seen in recent years and there is every chance this is ARod’s last year in football.
Dallas on the other hand look really strong and I think their defence could be in for a big day.
I like the Cows to cover and am backing the score to blow out in this one.
Anytime TD Tip: Dalton Schultz
San Fran look red hot this year and CMC looks like the final piece in the puzzle they needed to take it deep into the playoffs.
I had the Chargers tipped for big things this year and they’ve been decent but injuries have been a big factor for them.
I’m backing the 9ers to be too good in this one but the likes of Austin Ekeler and Joey Bosa should keep the Chargers somewhat in the game.
Anytime TD Tip: Christian McCaffrey
To round out Week 10 we have an NFC East clash on MNF.
I personally believe that an 11 point line for a primetime game this year is far too big.
Primetime games have been bad this year and even though Philly is 8-0 I’m willing to take them on.
The Commanders look Ok but The Eagles are the best team in the NFC and should win this one to go 9-0
Anytime TD Tip: Devonta Smith
