Ten races will be run and won at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, December 3rd!
The rail will be set out five metres around the entire course, at publish we’re faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range and you can find all of my Rosehill Gardens tips below.
I’m siding with Kazalark in the first at Rosehill on Saturday.
Kazalark has made only three appearances at the races so far, but broke his maiden impressively at Hawkesbury before only just missing in the Group 3 Spring Stakes last time out.
He steps out this week in peak order and this is a drop in class.
Typically, this week’s Highway race is a wide-open affair and Zadig look a bit of value at current odds $12 at publish).
He hasn’t shown his best in two starts back this time, but he did improve noticeably second-up, and he is open to further improvement this week.
He has proven that he is up to this class, and we can have an each way play at the price.
Garza Blanca takes winning form into the third at Rosehill this week and looks well placed to strike again.
The I Am Invincible colt has won two of his four career starts to date, highlighted by his dominant three-length triumph over 1200m on Cranbourne Cup Day.
This will be his first attempt at the Sydney way of going, but I think his class will reign supreme regardless.
I’m going to give Bella Rouge another chance third-up at Rosehill this week.
The Chris Waller-trained mare finished off the pace in BM88 company at Randwick when resuming this time, and didn’t show a lot in what was a rare second-up flop.
Her best performances have tended to come a little later in her prep and with even luck this week, I think she can have an impact at a nice price ($8 at publish).
Irish Kisses has been good at the midweeks this time in, and this looks a good opportunity for her to successfully transition to Saturday metro company.
The Tracey Bartley-trained mare has missed placing once in four starts back from a spell, culminating in a lovely win at Newcastle last time.
She steps out this week in peak order, gets into the race well and can fight out the finish.
Zoumon is another last-start winner with further claims in Sydney this weekend.
The Zoustar gelding finished fifth, beaten only two lengths in a decent BM70 race at Bendigo when resuming this time, before charging clear to score a six-length victory at The Valley last time.
This horse has bucketloads of talent – he finished fourth in the ATC Derby back in autumn, and the 2000m looks absolutely perfect for him at this point of his prep.
Vreneli deserves another chance in this open Handicap race at Rosehill.
He’s picked off some nice races for the Waterhouse & Bott yard throughout his career, and Vrenelli’s conditions just gave out when he returned to action on The Gong Day.
He gets some relief in the weights this week under Reece Jones and does look up to something of this quality.
Cavalier Charles is ready to win at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Denman gelding stripped fitter with a fair effort at Randwick when resuming, and he was strong through the line for fourth in The Kosciuszko.
He was held up before letting down with another impressive turn of foot in a decent race at Randwick on Cup Day last time, and he is drawn to receive every chance this week from barrier 5. So long as he has held his condition, I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.
I Am Me was an excellent winner first-up from a spell and can go one with it at Rosehill on Saturday.
The I Am Invincible mare was nothing short of excellent last time in, winning her first three starts with something in hand before producing a couple of decent efforts in black type company.
Her fresh win at Rosehill last month was amongst the best of her career to date, and she has been kept up to the mark with a trial since.
Camaguey can win the last in Sydney on Saturday.
The Godolphin galloper was a good winner in BM64 company when resuming this time before finishing third, beaten less than half a length on The Gong Day.
Fitter third-up and in similar company, I think that this is his opportunity to win in Saturday metro company.
