Premier League Game Week 14 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 14 Tips & Preview

The Premier League rolls into Game Week 14, with just seven competition points separating Liverpool in seventh with Nottingham Forest at the foot of the table!

The action gets underway at King Power Stadium, where Man City can climb into the top spot, albeit possibly just for a couple of days.

Elsewhere, Potter leads the Blues into battle against his former side in Brighton, Newcastle welcomes Unai Emery back to the league when they take on Villa and Man U plays host to their former manager in Moyse and the Hammers.

We’ve previewed all 10 EPL Game Week 14 fixtures and provided our best betting plays below!

LEICESTER VS MAN CITY
Man City to Nil $2.25

Leicester will be looking to record their third win on the trot following a horror start to the season, though standing in their way is the formidable Manchester City.

City has won their last three Premier League away fixtures against the Foxes, keeping a clean sheet on each occasion.

The Cityzens can momentarily climb to the top of the league table with a win here, a place where the bookies strongly believe they will finish ($1.22).

The Sky Blues currently have the second best defensive record in the league (11GA) and I’m backing them to win to nil here.

NEWCASTLE VS ASTON VILLA
Newcastle $1.80

Good ebening!

Unai Emery returns to the Premier League as the new Aston Villa manager following the sacking of Steven Gerard.

Despite a rough finish to his Arsenal tenure, Emery has a fantastic track record of improving players and squads and should thrive at the helm of the underperforming Villa.

Although the future looks bright, I believe a fixture against the red-hot Toon has come too soon for the Villans.

Newcastle has only lost once this season, are enjoying a purple patch of four wins across their last five league fixtures.

I have the Toon winning this one, though Villa will put up a fight.

BRENTFORD VS WOLVES
Brentford $2.20

Two struggling sides in Brentford and Wolverhampton are set to take the pitch in a match to miss for neutral supporters.’

The Wolves are currently sitting in 19th place on the table and possess the worst offensive record in the league (5GF).

Meanwhile, the Bees have won just once across their last six games (2D,3L), leaving them sitting 11th.

Despite Brentford’s drop in form, I can’t see them getting bettered by a Wolves outfit without an established striker or manager!

BRIGHTON VS CHELSEA
Chelsea $2.45

Potter takes to the pitch against his former side as Chelsea travel to the Amex stadium!

Brighton’s form has dropped steadily since Potter’s departure, winless in their ensuing five fixtures (2D,3L).

On the other hand, Chelsea is undefeated with Potter at the wheel (6W,3D) and has gone five games on the road without a loss (4W,1D).

I’m backing Chelsea to continue their strong run of form, claiming all three points at what looks to be overs in the H2H market.

CRYSTAL PALACE VS SOUTHAMPTON
Over 2.5 Goals $2

Both Crystal Palace and Southampton will be looking to jump clear of the relegation zone with a win here.

The Saints head into this fixture off the back of a hard-fought 1-1 draw against league leaguers Arsenal and will be looking to build on their three-game unbeaten run (1W,2D).

Alternatively, the Eagles will attempt to bounce back following a surprise defeat to the Toffee’s last time out, though will take solace in the fact they have claimed all three of their wins this season at home.

We’ve seen both teams score and over 2.5 total goals hit in the last three fixtures between this pair.

I’m not comfortable backing either side in the H2H market here, instead, I’m jumping on the Overs and watching the goals fly in!

BOURNEMOUTH VS TOTTENHAM
SGM: Spurs to Win & Over 2.5 Goals & Kane to Score $3.66

Both Bournemouth and Tottenham will be out to snap two-game losing streaks when they meet at the Vitality Stadium.

Despite dropping points to both Man U and Newcastle, the Spurs still find themselves clutching onto the third spot in the league, for now.

They’ll take on a Cherries outfit who have failed to score across their last five halves of football.

Despite his side’s lull in form, Harry Kane has continued to find the back of the net, scoring 10 times across 12 games, 2nd only to the Norwegian freak that is Erling Haaland (17!).

I’m backing the Spurs to steady the ship here, along with another goal from the talisman up top!

FULHAM VS EVERTON
Fulham to Win $2.40

The Toffees head to London to take on the league’s biggest surprise package Fulham.

The home side has won five of their 12 league fixtures this season while suffering defeat at home just once.

Meanwhile, Everton claimed their third win of the season last time out, seeing off the Eagles 3-0 in an impressive display.

The Cottagers have scored twice as many goals as their opponents have this season, with Serb striker Mitrovic’s personal tally (9) just two goals shy of Everton’s.

I’m backing the home side to continue their damaging form and pick up their third win on the trot!

LIVERPOOL VS LEEDS
Liverpool (-2) $2.90

Liverpool has been handed the perfect fixture to bounce back from their frankly embarrassing performance against Nott Forest last time out.

Leeds has lost four straight PL games and last tasted victory back in game week 3!

The Reds have won their last two fixtures against the Whites with an aggregate of 9-0, with their last defeat to the Yorkshire side coming way back in 2001, with both Viduka and Harry Kewell featuring!

I’m backing the Reds to win and to do so in a convincing manner here!

ARSENAL VS NOTTM FOREST
Arsenal to Win & Under 3.5 Goals $2.13

After knocking off Liverpool last weekend, Nott Forest has been rewarded with a trip to the capital to take on league leaders Arsenal!

The Gunners will be hungry to bounce back from their first draw of the season last time out and cement their rightful spot atop of the league.

This will be the first time these two sides meet in the PL since 1998, though they have played four times since in the FA & EFL Cups, splitting the honours at two wins a piece.

Forest has done well in securing up their defense over the last month, and although I can’t see them taking any points home here, I do see them making life extremely difficult for this young Gunners outfit.

MAN UTD VS WEST HAM
Man U to Win & Both Teams to Score $3.39

Game week 14 comes to a close on Monday morning (AEST) when Manchester United welcomes West Ham to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have gone four games without defeat in the league and are looking to win their fifth straight PL match against the Hammers here.

Meanwhile, West Ham has tasted defeat just once over their last five league appearances (3W,1D), quickly climbing free of the drop zone and into the top 10!

Erik ten Hag has worked wonders in his short tenure at United, shining some much-needed light into this dying star. the Football he has his side playing is on par with the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal and only bettered by City at the minute.

I’m backing the home side to win here, although I do expect them to ship a goal or two in the absence of starting CB Raphael Varane.
