Premier League Game Week 11 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 11 Tips & Preview

The Premier League ticks over to Game Week 11 as a clear pecking order begins to emerge.

Arsenal will attempt to remain atop of the league table with a victory over a struggling Leeds outfit.

Elsewhere, Man United and Newcastle fight it out over European places, Chelsea hopes to continue their purple patch under Potter and City looks to kick Liverpool into the bottom half of the league table!

We’ve previewed all 10 EPL fixtures across the weekend and provided our best betting plays below!

BRENTFORD VS BRIGHTON
Brighton $2.40

Brentford and Brighton take to the field on Saturday morning (AEST), with both outfits looking to return to winning ways.

Brighton picked up one point across their last two games, despite outplaying both Liverpool and Tottenham across the trip.

Meanwhile, the Bees are winless in their last three league games (1D,2L), only managing to find the back of the net once.

It’s easy to see Brentford’s goal-scoring woes continuing here, as they prepare to face a far more organised defensive unit in the form of Brighton.

I’m backing the visitors to climb back into the top four for the time being here, with their fifth win of the season.

LEICESTER VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace $3.10

Brendan Rodger’s continual employment has been added to the list of 10 things science can not explain!

The Foxes currently sit dead last on the league table following a 2-1 defeat to newly promoted Bournemouth.

Rodger’s side boasts the worst defensive record in the league, conceding 24 goals across nine games, double that of their opponents here.

Meanwhile, the Eagles secured their 2nd win of the season last time out, thanks to a late winner off the boot of Eze.

Crystal Palace has shown real class across the pitch so far this season, with only their quality or lack thereof in front of goal letting them down.

I’m backing Palace to break the shackles against the Foxes’ poor excuse of a backline and secure all three points on the road.

FULHAM VS BOURNEMOUTH
Draw $3.70

Two of the biggest overachievers across the opening nine fixtures are set to lock horns this weekend, in what could prove to be a pivotal fixture in the 2022/23 relegation race!

Since the sacking of Scott Parker, the Cherries have gone five games without defeat (2W,3D), with only Man City boasting a longer run (9G).

Alternatively, the Cottagers are staring down the barrel of a three-game losing streak, and have looked directionless without injured striker Mitrovic leading the line.

This pair played out two draws in the Championship last season, and I can see both outfits being content to share the points once again here.

WOLVES VS NOTTM FOREST
Wolves 2nd Half Goals Under 0.5 $2.55

Speaking of relegation races, the 18th-placed Wolves host the 19th-placed Forest in a game on nobody’s watch list!

The Wolves (3) have scored less than half the goals of the 2nd worst offensive side in the league, and have lost their last three league fixtures at an aggregate of 8-0!

Meanwhile, Forest stakes claim to the worst goal difference (-15) in the comp, and have no idea who their best 18 players are, let alone their starting 11!

The Wolves are ridiculously priced at $1.68 favorite here, while Nottingham inspires next to no confidence from a betting perspective.

Wolverhampton has failed to score in the 2nd half of a game this season and with several of their key attacking options missing through injury, I can see them struggling to threaten Nottingham’s goal late in the game.

TOTTENHAM VS EVERTON
Spurs to Win & Under 3.5 Goals $2.22

Tottenham attempts to keep pace with Arsenal and City when they welcome the Toffees to London.

The Spurs snatched all three points against Brighton last time out despite playing far from their best football, which seems to be the theme for them this season.

Meanwhile, Everton’s six-game unbeaten run (2W,4D) came to an end at home to United, in a game that saw them concede 2+ goals for only the 2nd time this campaign!

Tottenham has won all four of their home fixtures this season, and although I believe the Toffees will make life hard for Conte’s side, I can’t see them snatching any points here.

SOUTHAMPTON VS WEST HAM
West Ham to Win & Scamacca to Score $4.62

Following a shocking start to the season, the Hammers are on track to win three games on the trot and break into the top half of the table!

Whereas the Saints are trending in the opposite direction, losing four straight league fixtures and failing to score in three of those games.

West Ham’s change in fortune correlates with the fitness and form of star signing Gianiuca Scamacca, who has scored in four of his last five games across all comps!

I’m backing the Italian to find the back of the net on the way to another Hammer’s victory!

LEEDS VS ARSENAL
Arsenal & Over 2.5 Goals $2.17

Leeds has come crashing back down to earth, enduring a run of five games without a victory in the league (2D,3L).

Meanwhile, Arsenal has won eight of their opening nine fixtures, representing their best start to a top-flight season ever! The last four sides to win nine of the first ten games have gone on to win the league.

The Gunners hold an exemplary record against the Whites, winning five of the pairs’ last six PL fixtures (1D), outscoring their opponents 19-4!

Arsenal has scored 3+ goals in their last three games, a feat I am backing them to extend to four fixtures at the expense of the home side here.

MAN UTD VS NEWCASTLE
Over 3.5 Total Goals $2.65

Man U and Newcastle go toe-to-toe at Old Trafford as both sides attempt to remain within touching distance of the top four.

United have only failed to win one of their previous 37 home league fixtures against the Toon (27W,9D,1L), with that solitary loss coming way back in 2013 under the supervision of David Moyes!

That being said, the Toon are a much-improved outfit and have shown they can rub shoulders with the best sides in the league, let alone Man U.

The Red Devils have won four of the last five league fixtures against the Toon (1D), and each of their victories has seen both teams score and Over 3.5 Total Goals hit.

Newcastle will not shy away from a shootout here, the Toon has scored nine goals across their last two league fixtures and I’m expecting De Gea to have his hands full.

Although I’m leaning towards United at home in this one, I still don’t trust them defensively, as such I’ll be jumping on the Over at the 3.5 Goals line.

ASTON VILLA VS CHELSEA
Chelsea to Win to Nil $2.90

Chelsea looks to extend their winning streak to five games across all comps under the management of Graham Potter.

Standing in their way is a Villa side who are winless in two (2D) and in danger of slipping into the drop zone.

The Blues won both fixtures against the Villans last season, outscoring their opponents 6-1.

Chelsea has kept three clean sheets on the trot, two of which came against the attacking prowess of AC Milan!

Villa is a long way off the pace at the moment and I can’t see them turning things around against one of the form sides in the comp.

LIVERPOOL VS MAN CITY
Man City to Win and Both Team to Score $2.90

We are forced to wait until the early hours of Monday morning (AEST) for the match of the round, as preseason title favourites City and Liverpool lock horns at Anfield.

The betting landscape has changed dramatically since GW1, with the Reds drifting out to $34 to win the comp following a rough run of form which has seen them drop points to United, Arsenal, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Everton!

Meanwhile, the Citizens have been cruising alone, amassing 23 competition points from a possible 27 (7W,2D), scoring a league-high 33 goals, while conceding a league-low 9 goals.

The Reds have failed to win against City in the league across their last five meetings (3D,2L), that being said, they have managed to score 2+ goals against the Sky Blues in their last four games in all comps.

In their current state, I can’t see Liverpool leaving this fixture with anything more than a goal, as such, I have City to win and both teams to score in what should be a telling fixture!
