Daily Racing Tips – Friday, October 7

each way
Port Macquarie: Race 7 (4:55pm)
No. 2 Rousseau

Quality Time will go around a short-priced favourite in the Port Macquarie Cup, but stable mate Rousseau is the one that I like at a longer quote ($11 at publish).

The Chris Waller-trained galloper hasn’t managed to salute in three starts back this time, but has stripped fitter, and this is probably a drop in class from his most-recent race at Rosehill.

He’s rock-hard fit, will like a rain-affected track and we can have an each-way play at the price.

Cranbourne: Race 2 (6:15pm)
No. 8 Flame Of Venice

I thought Flame Of Venice was good when resuming this time, and she can break her maiden at Cranbourne this evening.

The Pierro mare is yet to strike in eight trips to the races, but she has raced consistently and found form around some quality types.

She has options in running tonight from the rails draw and might not be offered a better opportunity to win.

Cranbourne: Race 5 (7:45pm)
No. 5 Sociabeel

The consistent Sociabeel goes around the in the fifth at Cranbourne tonight and is ready to win.

Sociabeel hasn’t missed placing in four starts back this time, and the form out of those races has been decent.

She steps out tonight in peak order and will take beating.

Cranbourne: Race 7 (8:45pm)
No. 1 Nerve Not Verve

The Pinker Pinker Plate looks an ideal feature race for Nerve Not Verve.

Nerve Not Verve has improved for two starts back from a spell, and she ran into an impressive Desert Icon in the Group 3 JRA Cup last time, finishing second.

There is no horse of that quality engaged tonight, and this girl will only improve.
