Hawkesbury: Race 3 (2:10pm)
No. 7 Coppleson

Coppleson was an impressive winner on debut and can continue his rise through the grades at Hawkesbury today.

The Rip Van Winkle gelding showed some promise at the trials prior to debuting and put the writing on the wall with an eye-catching effort at Newcastle last month.

I like that he has been kept up to the mark with another recent trial, and this looks the next logical target for him.

Hawkesbury: Race 6 (4:05pm)
No. 4 Raccolto

Raccolto looks well placed to win at Hawkesbury this afternoon.

The Pierro mare has raced consistently since making her debut, and she was unlucky not to record a second career win at the end of her last prep.

I thought she was decent when fifth behind the talented Arnold at Randwick-Kensington first-up this time and will take plenty of improvement into this easier race.

Hawkesbury: Race 7 (4:40pm)
No. 1 Crazy Train

Crazy Train returned to winning form at Newcastle last time out and looks capable of making it two in a row at Hawkesbury today.

The Bull Point mare flashed late but was no match for Cuban Granchico at Hawkesbury when resuming time, and she took plenty of improvement into her classy performance last time out.

She steps out this week fitter, she has wet-weather form and will relish some relief in the weights under Dylan Gibbons.

Hawkesbury: Race 8 (5:15pm)
No. 8 Jukebox Flyer

This looks a great opportunity for Jukebox Flyer to bounce back into the winner’s stall.

The Jukebox filly won on debut at Newcastle back in February and was immediately put away, and she was excellent through the line when second in an 1100m handicap at Caulfield when resuming.

She was a little plain when finishing midfield at Eagle Farm last time, but she’s another whom I’m willing to forgive dropping back in class.
