Pakenham: Race 3 (2pm)
No. 1 Be Be's Canally

I thought that this looked a good opportunity for Be Be’s Canally to break his maiden.

The Canford Cliffs gelding was luckless at Donald last time out and I am happy to forgive the run, but he was showing good improvement prior to that, and he only just missed here at Pakenham two starts back.

He steps out today in peak order and with even luck, he can fight out the finish.

Pakenham: Race 5 (3pm)
No. 4 Satin Ruler

Satin Ruler has improved for two starts back this time and is ready to strike at Pakenham today.

The Moshe gelding finished down the order here when resuming, but kept his best work for late when second, beaten just over a head at Ballarat last time.

Fitter third-up and out to 1400m today, I think he’ll prove tough to beat.

Pakenham: Race 6 (3:30pm)
No. 4 Diesel 'N' Dust

This shapes as one of the more open contests at Pakenham this afternoon, and a horse like Diesel ‘N’ Dust looks a touch of overs at around the $12 mark.

Diesel ‘N’ Dust has been a good horse for the Warren & Krongold stable throughout his career, and I thought that there was plenty to like about his recent effort for fourth at Ballarat.

He steps out today with improved fitness, and we can have an each-way play at the price.

Pakenham: Race 8 (4:30pm)
No. 3 Vadarchie

He hasn’t been seen at the races since February and has only made one competitive appearance, but Vadarchie looks to have plenty of ability, and he can make a winning return at Pakenham today.

The Vadamos gelding stepped out at Sale on debut and returned a nice effort to score, though also racing quite greenly.

He’s sure to have benefited and grown in his time away from the races and there doesn’t look to be any real stars engaged today.
