Randwick-Kensinston: Race 1 (12:15pm)
No. 4 Himalaism

This looks the perfect opportunity for Himalaism to strike.

By I Am Invincible and out of Snitzerland, Himalaism is bred from break-neck speed, and he kept his best work for last when fourth, beaten a length here when resuming.

I’m expecting plenty of improvement for that effort and on exposed form, he’s certainly the one to beat.

best bet
Randwick-Kensington: Race 4 (2pm)
No. 6 Parlayed

Parlayed hasn’t returned a poor effort since debuting, and he will take a power of beating again at Randwick-Kensington today.

The Team Hawkes-trained filly filled the minors in each of her two starts during her debut prep, and she completed an ideal return to the races with a dominant effort at Newcastle earlier this month.

This looks the perfect opportunity to transition to metro company, and under William Pike today, she is my best bet.

Randwick-Kensington: Race 5 (2:35pm)
No. 6 Karlstad

Karlstad has been a consistently performer since resuming, and he strikes another very winnable race at Randwick-Kensington today.

The Sacred Falls gelding charged in to score an impressive win over 1550m at Canterbury two starts back, and he was far from disgraced when third in Saturday company at Rosehill last time out.

Hughie Bowman retains the ride, and the horse will relish a drop in class.

Sandown: Race 8 (4:30pm)
No. 4 Coolth

Coolth is the class runner engaged in the last at Sandown today, and he is ready to win.

The Dundeel gelding has typically contested Saturday metro races during his career, and he has improved for three starts back this time, finishing second behind Welsh Legend at Flemington most recently.

He steps out today in peak order, is drawn well and will take beating.
