Bendigo: Race 2 (1pm)
No. 6 All She Wrote

All She Wrote finished second, though well beaten by the exciting Comanche North at Wangaratta when resuming, and she looks well placed to go one better at Bendigo today.

The Tivaci filly has missed placing only once in four career starts, and she has run into some notable gallopers since debuting.

With any improvement, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish of something like this.

Bendigo: Race 5 (2:30pm)
No. 7 Aperol Sprint

I’m keen to take on the early favourite Jukila in this race, and I think that Aperol Sprint is the one that can salute for us.

Aperol Sprint hasn’t missed placing at her last four trips to the races, winning at Muswellbrook two back and filling the minors behind Funambulist at Gosford last time.

I like that Matt Smith has elected to send this horse south, and the $6.50 about her at publish looks a touch of overs.

best bet
Bendigo: Race 7 (3:30pm)
No. 8 Comanche North

Comanche North was scratched from a tougher race at Sandown yesterday to instead run here, and given I was pretty keen on him in that race, I think he’ll take a power of beating in this.

The Reward For Effort gelding has made just two appearances at the races so far, but only just missed on debut before giving them windburn at Wangaratta last time.

This is a little harder, but he has plenty of upside and is my best bet of the day.

Bendigo: Race 8 (4pm)
No. 9 Dazzling Lucy

The penultimate race at Bendigo this afternoon looks a great opportunity for Dazzling Lucy to bounce back into winning form.

Dazzling Lucy has made only four appearances since debuting back in January, but has stamped herself as one to watch by winning twice.

She has been freshened since finished midfield in a stronger Saturday race at Caulfield, and this is obviously a decent drop in class.
